New Kaupthing CHAPS/BACS Transfers discussion - Friday 24th October

I opened mine pre May, and never had any log on problems that I know some of the later accounts did. Just for the record (tmvc, I know you already know), mine was a closure request by CHAPS on the 7th. As an after thought, I've never actually made any withdrawals from this account before, I don't know whether that might be a common denominator with others. I checked with my bank and they say they have no problems with receiving any CHAPS payments at all.
I'd never attempted a withdrawal before the one on the 8th, and I got it on the 20th. I really can't see any pattern at all in any of this, it looks completely random and more to the point, chaotic.CHAPS 8/10 received Halifax 20/10
BACS 18/11 (£30) (actioned 19/11) received CHAPS Halifax 21/11
BACS 24/11 (£50) (actioned 25/11) received Halifax 28/11

This is an interesting thread about the dates. Mine was 7th/8th scenario too. Is HomeTune keeping a note of these dates? I think I'll PM her with mine in case she wants them.
Come Monday my patience will have run out. I made my phone call today as instructed, and will be following it up first thing Monday, the next 'working day', not so politely as I did today!
Also hope we'll be getting interest on our monies all this time. That'll be my next beef!! Want my capital back first, but know that will rise to the top afterwards. CAN WE SUE FOR STRESS???
Grrrrr Isobella:j  :j0 -

My surname starts with a letter late in the alphabet. I initiated the transfer on the 7th late in the evening. It appeared on my account on 8th. I received the money into my linked account on 20th.0

I don't know if you said that tongue in cheek Isobella. However, I think it's an option worth considering on a collective level given all the statements, broken promises, undeliverables etc....This has no doubt caused a whole lot of health issues with a lot of people I'm sure.
Another fight, another day perhaps! ;-)Non illigitamus carborundum!!0 -

Will keep checking in and keep my fingers crossed that you are all reunited with your money soon.0 -
Hi All
Thanks for your PM's noting the amounts involved in the missing transfers! Keep them coming in and we will have an idea of what sort of amount is involved in the missing transfers!

apologies up front...
but this now officially SUX !!!.
everyone should have been reunited with THEIR money by now. i can only echo previous sentiments - it's not fair. everyone with outstanding money should have at least had a personal phonecall explaining exactly what the particular hold up was on their account and a guarantee that it would be with them on X date along with an individual's name who they could call if necessary.
so sorry guys :-(
I haven't received any emails and the only phone calls I've received have been those that I initiated. This evening, I was told by a Customer Service Manager (who is getting rather famous on this thread), that it may be because the receiving banks are having problems with CHAPS, but on ringing my bank, they say they're not having any problems at all. It's just another way of saying "we haven't got a clue what's happened, but we're not going to tell you that". If they at least said that, I'd have more respect for them!0
