A man after my own heart.
I didn’t know that was on.
He’s been one of my heroes since I saw him with Yardbirds and the Jeff Beck group with Rod Stewart, when I was young and handsome. Then again 4 years ago at the RFH
I’ve hit the record button.
Sorry very off-topic.0 -
Night!
Will update and post list tomorrow morning!CHAPS 8th received 20th into HSBC A/CBACS on the 17th and 20th received 22nd into HSBC A/CCHAPS fee refunded 29/10I can survive any crisis - I have kids!!0 -
Mr Hemmings You are a disgrace I have received no replies to my emails that I've sent you. I have no money yet in my nominated account that the Ing website promised, promises that are worthless I requested the transfer on 8th October 2008. Have a nice weekend and sleep tight!
Heads should roll over this debacle:mad:0 -
Poll doesn't really apply to me and my wife as the money is not lost as such.
We requested a CHAPS on the 2nd and it was recredited back to our account on the 4th (Saturday!) having been returned. Since then my wife has spoken to KE so many times, each time to be told that they will retry the CHAPS again, although the full balance is still in the account (minus the £20 CHAPS charge of course.).
Will get back on to the phone to them on Monday.0 -

Well that puts a hole in that theory - not huge but a hole nonetheless. Ok - I have no information about when people opened their accounts but there was a date (May?) when the logon etc was changed for new customers. Has this made a difference to transfers? I'm in the 7th/8th paid batch and we opened our account before the alteration.
Both my accounts were opened 16th May but I've received the bacs trf. but not the chaps (both trfs. done the same day - requested 7th, left KE 8th).
If it helps I opened mine 14 May, requested close of fixed term on 08 Oct, account amalgamated 21 Oct, showed a zero balance 22 Oct and received finally on 24 October. Can't tell if it was CHAPS or BACS. Hope that helps.Money requested 08/10, left KE 22/10 - Arrived 24/100 -

MESSAGE FOR THE ING SPOKEPERSON
1) I am guilty of believing all the garbage on your latest update.
2) If you bought a share in KE savings hoping to make profit by gaining all those customers, you have bought a lemon.. read the postings! no one will touch you anymore.
3) My own Son has substantial saving with ING and while witnessing my predicament, wants to withdraw all his cash, he is however afraid to at the moment, for fear of it going into the ether like mine.
4) What a sorry stare of affairs! Your bank should be ashamed of itself for arriving at this situation and for what you putting us through.Chaps requested 8th October : money left my account 8th October : £20 chaps fee deducted : destination account Halifax : Chaps fee of 20 re-funded to my KE account 27th October but dated 8th October: On the spreadsheet and received generic e-mail 29th October. Funds paid to my linked account 4th November0 -

I opened mine pre May, and never had any log on problems that I know some of the later accounts did. Just for the record (tmvc, I know you already know), mine was a closure request by CHAPS on the 7th. As an after thought, I've never actually made any withdrawals from this account before, I don't know whether that might be a common denominator with others. I checked with my bank and they say they have no problems with receiving any CHAPS payments at all.0 -
I am absolutely gutted by the latest situation. I really believed everyone would be paid today. I had to walk away from the computer to calm down. One of my pet hates is when these large corporations insult good hard working people with bulls#*t.
I can access my account and I’m sure most of you can. So why can’t ING or the administrators?
I have said all along, it’s acceptable there are going to be delays and hold ups. It must be a mammoth task to take over a bank and sort out a giant messy heap.
I thought the government did us a favour by getting ING to handle the takeover. It seems, by the FSCS announcement, they have got their payout really sorted. Mind you, we’ll have to wait and see how smoothly that goes.
All we ever wanted was to be:
INFORMED
Not fed standard corporate bulls#*t.
I hope the whole fiasco is investigated after everyone has been repatriated with their savings.
PS
I had all my chat up lines prepared for hellyboo at tonight’s party. Let’s hope it happens next week. :smileyhea0
