  • Funny how the so-called ING Spokesperson has disappeared
  • Hi all, just to let you know I've been checking and I'm still rooting for you.

I just can't believe ING have still not sorted this out.....and if there are 10 MSE'ers how many other poor souls are still waiting without the support of this site?
CHAPS requested 10 Oct, left KE 15 Oct, finally arrived 18.00, 4th Nov :D

    Still 9 to go?
    What on earth is happening?

Received my money from Icesave yesterday, day after I replied to the 2nd email, the FSCS are a lot better organised than the administrators working at KE and ING!
  • Just like to say that I'm still here and regularly reading the thread, Bigg you are a star and I too can't believe just how long all this BS has been going on.
Good luck to all of the final 9. NMK xxx xxx xxx

Well that was certainly golden Friday, golden duck Friday.

I don’t know what to say anymore. Just keep pestering them. There is absolutely no excuse now.

ING keep saying it’s the administrators’ fault. So, either let us speak to the administrators or take the blame on their behalf.

I can only think that our 9 are just the tip of the iceberg and there are actually 100’s of people still out there waiting.

What baffles me is that if it's now the administrators fault, what are THEY trying to gain by not releasing the money?
The KE savers' money was all covered by the Treasury deal with ING....it's not a question of the administrators deciding if there's any money left......the Government have GUARANTEED that all savings will be safe.
So what on earth is the point of any further delay ? Any lost interest will have to be repaid as well.

None of this makes any sense!!!

Anyway, hang on in there, those of you still waiting. We are 100 per cent behind you!!

Bigg -Sorry didn't have opportunity to update the thread on the Mr & Mrs show as you suggested- but here goes.

BACS transfer of 13/10/08 returned on 10/11/08 without explanation. Retained a printout of the transaction and Account details shown which were correct. Endless number of phone calls probably covering every front line person without success. KE said it was my destination bank TESCO at fault but after a trace TESCO confirmed it had never been received.
17/11/08 rang MSE Helpline. Spoke to Chris Talbot who said he was "personally dedicated " to my Account, would keep in touch regularly, and ring me come what may 19/11/08. He suggested that I should attempt another transfer which I did.
You've guessed it - he did not ring me.
I rang him but he was attending one of those popular meetings that people at KE attend when they do not want to speak. He was probably being procesed with more "fables" by the back-room boys to tell customers.
After 6p.m. that night someone else rang- CT had gone home. Told to look at my destination Account the next day but BACS were now taking 3to5days.
Infuriated, I persisted until I spoke to a Team Leader Anne-Marie Asquith who could not tell me any more but would get Chris Talbot to ring me urgently. Persevered and was eventually given 0203 320 56800 as the phone number of the elusive "Administrators"
I bet you have guessed it again- no such phone number.
21/11/08 after 4 p.m. received email from Jennifer Sargent saying she had tried to contact me that day without success- would I RING HER.
When requested to give the number she rang- because I had been in all day-her response was that she hadn't actually rang because she did not have my number despite the fact that they have rang me more than my best friends-
    Who dreams these things up????
Told her that I had unearthed and activated an old ING Account-same bank -and could they not transfer my money without all the red tape necessary passports, driving licences etc.
Answer- they are not the same bank.
Enquired what had happened to my "latest" transfer she said the "Administrators had stopped it because they suspected FRAUD !!!!!!!
    Stop laughing!!!
However there was good news - the transfer would be re-presnted on 24/11/08 and the money would be in "by the end of the week".
My "personal dedicated person" has gone on holiday.

BACS transfer of 13/10/08 returned on 23/10/08. ING did not give a reason to front line staff but upon being pressed said it was due to the fact that ONE DIGIT was wrong in the Sort Code. Everyone may not be aware but KE are running two different systems at the same time depending on when you opened your Account. Wife's is second system and no facilty for viewing destination Account sort code-just Account number. They were given the correct one which coincidentally is the same joint Account I am using.
    Phew!!
She decided to try to make a BACS tranfer of just £1-thats confidence for you- returned on 10/11/08 with no explanation.
14/11/08 the original transfer amount "dissappeared " from her Account -no explanation.
You've guessed it- has not appeared in destination Account.
Spoke to MSE helpline's Jennifer Sargent. Now have to submit driving licence ,passport, birth certicate, bank statement.

So its alright then-can't understand what we were worried about

Seriously, spare a moment for the front-line staff-what a Job.
  • What a nightmare Mr & Mrs Rep have had to go through! Personally, I am rapidly losing my confidence in all banks. What on earth is happening? We used to joke on this thread (ironically) that people would get their money from Icesave before KE. Not much of a joke now. You both have my support & sympathy.
  • I am really sorry to see that people are still waiting for their!!!! own money. I can't grasp how this has turned into such a debarcle.

Will keep in touch supporting behind the scenes............... !!
CHAPS requested 15/10 finally recieved 7/11 still waiting for refund of CHAPS Fee!

Never in my life have I experienced such a shambles. We do really need to keep all the evidence to pass on to the financial authorities. These people are just amateurs with no right to be dealing with professional matters.
