We're all rooting for you Zaphod. Try and maintain your sanity. Leave the computer OFF for today.0 -
Enough of the mr nice guy give them hell I have been chasing KE now ING as I requested transfer on 4 Oct 08 which was actually done on 17 Oct 08 (I realise some poor folk have not yet had their transfers). However, I quite justifiably asked for my interest for this period to be paid for which they have now done but they have paid less than half of what I calculate it to be. So even now they are trying to rip us off even further. I have requested explanation but as usual probably wont even get a reply. There is no advice to how they have calculated this.0

Apparently the interest to be paid for the missing transfer period which in my case is from the 8th - 20th is to be processed manually and will take a few days to complete! This is what KE/ING are telling people! So hang on just a little bit longer!CHAPS 8th received 20th into HSBC A/CBACS on the 17th and 20th received 22nd into HSBC A/CCHAPS fee refunded 29/10I can survive any crisis - I have kids!!0 -

Luckily I withdrew all-but-£100 of my money from Kaupthing just weeks before the crisis due to other reasons.
For the remaining £100, would I be better off trying to get it out ASAP but risk it disappearing into a black hole which could potentially be a lot of hassle? ... or to leave it until the current issues have settled down?
Any advice anyone?0 -

Couldn't agree more.
I see a few more people have received their money congratulations to them :j
Hang in there everyone else, as the list shows your not on your own and I know that during my wait I took solace in that fact.No more offshore banking for me :rolleyes:0 -

Most of this chaos has been caused by the frozen transactions that were initiated around the 6-9th October.
I would expect that if you transfered next week you should receive it in the standard time. Don't take my word for it though!
I would BACS it as well, CHAPS transfers have been the worst offenders in this mess.No more offshore banking for me :rolleyes:0 -

Thank you EY and ING for keeping us well informed for the last 4 weeks, for posting reassuring messages, that warm the cockles of our hearts, that fill us with improved belief in the banking system and for dealing with individual problems promptly.
I have been so impressed with your service I have decided to keep my money under my mattress.
I am full of emulsion from the heart of my bottom, bye.0 -
