PAYMENTS UPDATE:
We are pleased to confirm that our team at Kaupthing Edge has managed to clear the backlog of all known outstanding payment transactions. These will arrive in the destination bank accounts on Monday and Tuesday.
There are 35 queries where we need more information in order to trace the payment. Those customers will be contacted directly on Monday morning.
If you have not received your payment by close of business on Tuesday and have not been contacted please call our Customer Services Team on 08451 31 32 34.

Got my money back on 31 October.

Next fight, where's my lost interest?!?!

BTW, never got any replies from the emails I sent to the list of media companies. However, my email to ING's CEO and head of customers services, produced an email from Alastair Hemmings, basically saying: dont' worry, we got your money and will return it ASAP... and got my savings the following day.

Dag - re run on the bank.
My request was on the 6th for a BACS transfer. I hadn't appreciated the trap shutting was so imminent hence the BACS request. My money was from a redundancy payment I finally got after more than 5 years of wrangling with an Adminstrator. While I knew the money was protected by the UK gov, I obviously wanted to avoid another lengthy delay in getting it. As far as I can see there is no guarantee of how long it would take.

Looks like the end is in sight for everyone left waiting. Good luck all

I got this reply from AH after making a few pertinent points about INGS performance, so thank you for taking the trouble to answer my e mail Alastair.

Thank you for your email.

We understand a number of customers held Fixed Term Savings accounts with Kaupthing Edge and decided to close these prior to customers and their savings balances being transferred to ING Direct. We did update our website as soon as possible to confirm that these rates would be honoured by ING Direct for the remaining term of the accounts.

However, we are unable to open any new Kaupthing Edge Fixed Term Savings accounts and so I regret that we cannot re-open any existing Fixed Term Savings accounts or open new Fixed Term Savings accounts for customers who have already applied to close their account.

We are still working through the remaining backlog of delayed payments and once again apologise for the continued delay which is affecting a small number of customers. When Kaupthing Edge was placed into Administration it meant that all payments in the banking system were stopped and this has caused significant disruption, delays and complexity. Most of the outstanding payments relate to the time just before the company was taken into Administration and are unfortunately taking longer to resolve. Our team at Kaupthing Edge is working over the weekend to clear payments as quickly as possible.
