Called just to make sure that what I was told this morning (i.e. money now in transit to my A/C) was still happening,....guess what - they got it wrong!!! Eventually, after jumping up and down a bit, I spoke to an administrator who said actually my money was still in the ether - i.e. had NOT been released by EY!! So back to waiting. She could not give me any indication of when I might hear anything concrete. But the upshot is that there is no way I am going to get any money until middle of next week at the earliest!! You can imaging how excited that makes me feel! From what she said I gather that E&Y are holding transactions and only releasing them very slowly....there has been no urgency on their part to expedite the situation which the KE operators and ING are finding very frustrating, as they are taking all the flack.

    I have money!!!!:j :j :j :j 31st October 3.30pm. Organised by nice lady from E & Y, very, very grateful.

    £20 debit for CHAPS received 27th - dated 7th on A/C

Contrafibularities said " As ever, those that shout loudest get the most, and I would hazard a guess that of the remaining problem transfers they are going to go to those who shout first. After all, if you don't want it now you won't be complaining about it."

I wonder...my dosh was missing, my husband was in Hungary having extensive dental work that we needed the KE cash to pay for. We had the usual "close of business friday" spiel. He travelled to Budapest for his friday afternoon appointment on the back of that promise, and the money didn't appear as promised. He was actually in the dentists office, calliing me to see if the money had arrived so he could pay the bill. I called KE, gave them the story, got really angry and gave them my husbands mobile number and requested they call him in Budapest and explain to the dentist why we couldn't pay the bill. Miraculously, the money appeared in our linked account 20mins later....coincidence? maybe...
    Debt-free...and staying that way...

    Excellent News...Well done and congratulations.....
    Money requested 08/10, left KE 22/10 - Arrived 24/10
  • Greecian, I agree it seems to be EY, but why are these people holding our money ?
Why does a major financial force such as ING not deal with these EY people either directly or via FSO / UK government and then tell us the reason EY are holding on to our money ?

Received a reply from Alister Hemming assuring myself that I was on the list. Also I have just had my first ever email from KE customer center with a very long legal sign off including KSF and Bloom and Mill. It just said the same old stuff, keep waiting 48 hours.

about shouting loudest ....................have no idea if this helped but I had every intention of issuing Count Court proceedings this week if money did not arrive. I spoke to both ING and KE to advise of my intention to issue court proceedings and I also emailed KE on Monday . My email was acknowledged on Tues and I got a phone call first thing Wednesday and money today.

I only have you once on the list of transfers, clearly if you and your wife have made BACS then the total would be 14 - and I'm sure there are more who I don't have details for or who aren't even on this forum.
I'll make a note that there are 2 BACS for you so if anyone queries again I will include her too.
    I have a bacs outstanding since 7th for 3.5k

    UPDATE!!!

Out of desperation I caved in and rang KE (1st time today).......guess what....apparently my money has been traced and she gave me a 'cast iron guarantee' that my money will be in my account by COB.....tomorrow (that wouldn't be a Friday would it??!!) might even be there today.....Do I laugh or cry??

I will be keeping everything crossed for you tomorrow too, at this rate, I am going to be in a great big crossed knot, but it will be worth it if you all get your money back!

My money has arrived in my linked account -sometime in the last hour.

    :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T

It is only a "pending payment" atm, but I'm sure it'll be "real" tomorrow!

    It is such a relief!!!

Even though I have received my money, I don't want to abandon those of you who haven't, so I intend to maintain the list for as long as I can. I really do believe that it won't be for many more days now.

I feel the urge for a few  to celebrate this!!!

Thanks everybody for your support over the last couple of weeks. And thanks to Martin and Dan for their persuasive actions.
No more offshore banking for me
