Oh and while I think about it, have you looked for a rented property yet?
How is hubby holding up to all of this as well, as you have only just had a baby and the sleepless nights with that alone are a stress without this on top of it. So take my hat off to you for getting on here and trying to sort this out. Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0 -

This makes you dizzy
this is better , it took me ages to get ours right :cool:0 -
The rent thing is playin on my mind too, on the 4th should we just abandon ship so to speak?? Start looking now then when the deed is done, pack up and leave?0
-
once we decided OH was going BR i started looking for rented house, and i found 2 in our village within 1 hour , i told them we were going BR and that we have 3 kids and 2 dogs ,and they both said yes , i think landlords are finding it hard letting their houses aswell as the sellers selling theirs.
but as it happens only OH is going BR so we are hoping we can keep our house as its in neg equity
i would start looking now and start saving now aswell0 -
Just a thought, if we stay in the property AFTER BR but dont pay the mortgage are the payment missed since the BRO then a new debt?0
-
how much is your mortgage for and the price your house is worth ?
if its neg then then or wont be intrested in it (i think)
someone with more experience might answer this for you0 -
Okay presents NOT allowed by most ORs put it somewhere else .. Right put it under contents insurance you should have it and it costs around £11 for really good cover can recommend Zurich, need the number let me know.
On the move, I know people here who have simply upped and moved out before BR and those who have waited, now others will help here as I dont own my home so was not one of my worries therefore know little about the best plan of action.
What I do know is you get on the phone tomorrow and start to find out what is going and how much, what deposit is needed. look in local paper for private rental as well as sometimes much better.
Now if you wait til afterwards remember your credit rating will be shot to hell so you may then need 6 months rent in advance or more, and a guarantor which is why I think people do it prior to BR.
And dont worry, I know so easy to say, but you wil get thru this.

No missie, the house will go into BR I think.. someone here will explain this to you, you have said negative equity so the OR wont want to know as he cannot get anything from it. I know I have read people who have stayed in their homes for months after BR what I dont know is if they are paying the mortgage.. so hope someone here like BAAB gets in and helps you out on this side of matters.
