found this at https://www.aria.co.uk
it is over £20 cheaper than elsewhere. problem is i am not sure what it does.
i think that you can just connect a normal phone to it and use it as a voip. i am not sure though.

otherwise they have a voip phone wth screen which looks like like a normal phone (not like the other cheap voip phones) for under £12

Does this just plug into USB port or do I need special software to use it? :xmassmile0 -
as far as i know plugs into the usb0
-
It plugs into the USB socket ....... and special software is needed .... but it comes with it.
Skypemate or something.
I think i'd rather save for a Sipura or something simler0 -
Seem like a good find. But it is USB only, it does not seem to have an ethernet port?!
You need a bunch of USB drivers and the PC on, Sipura et al is a better option IMHO IF you want something that will work for a long time in a reliable fashion.
£23ish here http://www.udiggit.com/udiggit/productDetail/showProduct/2_MzI2NA==/
Detailed instructions here looks like the PC ethernet is used for SIP so you need to leave the PC on to make / take calls

:santa2: Hi I've had one 6 months now use it for skype you also need skypemate. with the pc on i can switch between landline and skype to make/receive calls. So you can plug your cordless phone into the phone socket and you have a wireless voip phone which retails around £76 quid.
cheap way of getting round it . they're list on ebay as SKYPE USB to RJ11 VOIP or voip usb adaptor but seems average price.

thanks
can you use another phone from around the house on the normal line at the same time.
and also can you use cheapvoip instead (which is free to all landlines)0 -
It was on offer for 19.99pounds from Maplin for the last couple of months.
Now, the price goes up.
You will need your computer ON to make/receive phonecalls.
Cheers !!0 -

I have the above box which I would love to work with VoiPCheap, but can't get the box to work. Can anyone suggest a site whereby I can download the appropriate software?
(Sorry Mods if it's off-topic).
Thanks
