:hello: good morning!
Well, we came back from Cornwall on Tuesday and it's taken my a couple of days to get over the travelling. Feel a bit better this morning though
I really missed reading the thread while I was away! Haven't caught up yet but will read the rest of today's in a minute. But I gather Penny_Pincher is off on holiday, though that might be next week - have a lovely time, hon! and Tired Mum, and anyone else going away for half term.
Weather was quite mixed while we were away - some days sunny and mild, some chilly wet and windy. I forgot to take a hat with me, and really could have done with one a few times. We did manage to get to a couple of places I'd wanted to visit for a long time - the Levant mine, and Lanhydrock - and even managed to park in St Ives, which isn't easy!
I hope all who were ill and/or had ill family members before I went away are feeling better.
Churchmouse, tired mum, Bargain Rzl, Stefejb, VickyA,Shez, Betheebee, Catowen :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello:
and Welcome to anyone who's joined the thread while I've been away.
All for now, as my brain isn't in gear yet, which probably means it won't be for most of the day:rolleyes:
Dinner will be pasta with meatballs.
Take good care of yourselves and hope you all have as good a day as possible.:)
Best wishes

Morning Chums ,
off to DDs this morning ,she has new lines to learn for her tours at Chatham docks where she is a tour guide. Then to pick up Mikey from school at lunchtime and a trip to Hempstead Sava Centre is on the cards.I have to pick another granddaughter up at 3.15. and deliver her to DD1s house then back to DD2s house for dinner tonight.
Its all go being retired .But lots of fun as well. I did a review of my freezer and cupboards yesterday and still have about 6 weeks food to go in there.I am hoping I can get it all down so I can defrost my freezer before Christmas.
<<hugs to all in need>> and wrap up warm everyone, it looks bright but where I am there is definitely a bit of a nip in the air
Cheers jackieO xx0 -

Kitchen swished and swiped, dw running, bm on and need to sort out washing as we're all off to Scotland on Saturday, so I think we need plenty of warm clothes.
Breakie was toasties again for dd3 and ds, cereal for dd1 and dd2 and not had mine yet!
Lunches were cheese and pickle sarnies, pinapple, apple, yoghurt and leftover popcorn (girls went to see HSM3 last night, of course I gave them drinks and popcorn to take with them, hidden inside dd3's HSM rucksack, well I assumed nobody would check a 7 year old's bag lol!) Mine will be well who knows, depends when I have breakie!
Dinner is ys sausages, with cauliflower and ys broccoli cheese, I slice potatoes and onions and cook those under the cauli cheese, yummy!
Have a good day all, I'm going to have another cuppa and a mooch! xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

Morning all
Today is my gorgeous god daughters birthday and she is the big 13 - she has been really excited about the teenager years apparantly - unlike her mum:D Anyway she has chosen to go to a place called Tay Barns for a meal tonight which looks pretty naff (the easy jet of restaurants according to my mate  ) looking at the website it looks awful but hey ho its her choice.
Couple of heads up - M+S are doing the dine for a tenner again this weekend and its the oakham chicken :j :j
Rmac - the hotel rooms for a tenner is on today at 3pm in case you are around:T not much of a chance of getting one but its worth a go I guess
The spicy parsnip, mushroom, potato, carrot and onion soup that cooked in the SC through the night smells gorgeous so that will be lunch and maybe supper after the lovely tay barns this evening:T
Hugs all0 -
Squiggley - Hope your placement is going well today and you enjoy it.
Celyn - nice to see you back. Your bit about finding your boss made me laugh, I though of those "where's wally" books, does he wear a stripey jumper lol!
Sistercas - oh your new boss sounds sneaky, good job you found out now, good luck with her!
Nelski - I think you've been fibbing about your lack of cooking skills!
Well am now meant to be typing a couple of reports up for a friend, but whilst it's money earning, it's a bit boring! Another cuppa and a hobnob I think - note to self, make more hobnobs or try not to eat them so fast!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
