CiCi I echo what Raeh has said and would repeat my earlier post. If you are unsure about your medication, refer back to the Doctor who prescribed it. No-one here would ever advise you what to do.
I believe sue deleted her post on seeing your reply as you had clearly misunderstood her post and your own response to it would have been deleted by the abuse team as you were soliciting medical advice. You brought the mods attention to your post when you complained about it on the site feedback board.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Hugs to you, Unity. I know it's hard to post when you're down, but we're all leaning in your direction, so you can lean back on us when you need a little support.
Raeh, I have to say that I ventured back to Lush today to see if they had got any more bags in, but no luck. Probably a good thing. Hope you get a more restful day today - I take no pleasure in you having overdone it!
Sharon, hope today is treating you kindly.
Decided against getting sofa - it would have been an impulse buy and cat would more than likely have shredded it. I think it was the thought of a bit of retail therapy to cheer me up.
I have to change the bed today - such hard work, it exhausts me, but I do love sleeping in lovely crisp fresh sheets.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Unity, I hope your feeling better soon, Ill email you when I come off here.
We have snow this afternoon and its starting to settle so I am hibernating and like Unity trying to keep warm with a throw over my legs, the fire on and the heating on and Im still cold, I hope everyone else is keeping warm and well.

Hi,
Sorry not to be posting much at present, I'm not great - pain is pretty bad as is depression, so don't want to bore you with the ugly Rottweiller following me around.
I just wondered if anyone else shares my absolute fear of the cold? I find it very hard to feel comfortably warm - in fact I am always freezing, especially my feet and it's got to the stage where I will avoid going out whenever I possibly can if it looks cold. I feel every little draught and everyone else will be complaining that the place is like a sauna - whilst I still sit with fire on, hot water bottle in place and a throw over my knees. I think it's partly the weather forecast to blame for my depression - having seen that we are in for another week of freezing temperatures.
Plus the tiredness is particularly bad at present and has been for the last couple of days - I'm even having bother typing this because I am yawning all the time.
Anyway I hope that everyone who can has a good weekend - I am off for a nap now.
Love,
Unity0 -
Ive gone back and checked my post and you asked for advice about Amy and what doses were people taking, I said I take 30mg and most of us find if we take it earlier in the evening we dont feel so grotty the next morning that was no way medical advice its just something that makes life easier for us and I was trying to help you.
Then the cranberry juice, someone else suggested I try it, so why are you just picking on me and saying Im giving advice I dont know ? I replied I cant drink it becuase of my condition, it had nothing to do with you Troll now why dont you skip off and play somewhere else, we are a happy supportive bunch here and theres no room for trolls.
Im going to click my ignore button for you now so wont be replying again Bye.0 -
and without you lot id be alot worse off. why do people have to be so nasty when all we are trying to do is help our felow sufferers out? a big thank you all for making a bad day a bit easier.:o x x0

Big hugs Sue, and well said.
Ditto to saffie.
Raeh, I know exactly what you mean about the satisfaction of having done things even if it means you're physically tired. I've got a KS duvet too (oooh, the decadence) and I always use a top sheet as changing the duvet cover is a job and a half. Am going to ask cleaner to do it tfor me tomorrow.
Although I hate being cold, I do actually prefer this type of weather to the miserable grey weather that's neither too cold or too hot. It sortta honest winter weather when it's cold iykwim.
We very rarely get snow here and when we do, it's when it's a blizzard. I really miss it - that being said, it's a luxury because I don't have to go out and about in it unless I decide to.
I have visions now of you all sitting wearing those stoopid knitted hats with ear flaps and tassles. :rolleyes:I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Hi Unity,
I too have a terrible 'fear' of the cold, I can't function.
Sounds like we are experiencing the same things at the moment.....Feeling that I can't go on like this for much longer, I am wondering why I battled so much against the cancer because life is just not worth living....
I have been to the pain clinic this week and the doctor has prescribed Amy trip. for me even though I explained the horrible experience I had when I tried it the first time. He took no notice. (so I won't be taking that. He also said that it would help me to sleep, I explained that I have M.E and I certainely don't need anything to help me to sleep!!)
He also prescribed capsules Pregablin (one a day for one month and then 2 a day) After reading the leaflet with the tabs. and all the 'rare' side effects I am too frightened to take it. Those 'rare' side effects are what I already suffer from on a daily basis.
But the pain is so bad. Could those of you who take this Pregablin (Lyrica) let me know how it effects you please
If you are unhappy with your doctor as many of us have been change practices, if you had a bad plumber or a hairdresser you wouldn't have them again, doctors are no different they make think they are gods but they are just people doing a job and some people are not good at their chosen jobs.
When i was first diagnosed i had a terrible doctor and i was advised to change and ive never looked back since, nobody can tell you who to see but i was told that the younger the GP the better they are with Fibro and new developments.
I had trouble with Amatrip myself but Nortrip is so much better but it is trial and error but having a doctor you can talk to makes all the difference and will stop u getting stressed.
I have worked through Fibro help sites and tried anything and everything hoping for cure or even a reduction of symptoms don't give in help is out there.
