ah sorry to hear that. i guess its anitbiotics then that only work?

No they dont work, theres no infection, I had some med that stopped the frequency, unfortunatly it worked too well and gave me unrine retention
so now Im having this instill treatment on fridays, they use a cathetar to put a liquid med into my bladder then I have to hold it for as long as possible so that it coats the bladder, its a 6 week course and if it works which it seems to be at the moment then I will have a maintenance dose once a month or so. Its not as bad as it sounds

Hi guys, was going to reply to so many but I don't really have time. I'm only at MIL2B's as a short reprieve while OH collects his books to bring to the new house, he may as well pee on the walls ;)

I SO need broadband (or indeed a phone line!) at the new house!! I'm getting withdrawal symptoms!!

The new house is lovely, thanks :) I've gotta get back to it though...so catch you all soon (I hope!!)

    Hi,

Sorry not to be posting much at present, I'm not great - pain is pretty bad as is depression, so don't want to bore you with the ugly Rottweiller following me around :o.

I just wondered if anyone else shares my absolute fear of the cold? I find it very hard to feel comfortably warm - in fact I am always freezing, especially my feet and it's got to the stage where I will avoid going out whenever I possibly can if it looks cold. I feel every little draught and everyone else will be complaining that the place is like a sauna - whilst I still sit with fire on, hot water bottle in place and a throw over my knees. I think it's partly the weather forecast to blame for my depression - having seen that we are in for another week of freezing temperatures.

Plus the tiredness is particularly bad at present and has been for the last couple of days - I'm even having bother typing this because I am yawning all the time.

Anyway I hope that everyone who can has a good weekend - I am off for a nap now.

    Love,
    Unity

cwta honestly its fine, you dont have to Im happy with my booty

Sakara Cranberry juice is good for normal uti's but interstitial cystitis isnt an infection, its inflammation of the lining of the bladder and anything acidic is like pouring vinegar on an open wound, so cranberry juice is out Im afraid, thanks for trying to help though

i asked before if you are doctor and you didnt reply to me. you often tell everyone good things about medicine. you said before to take more amitryptiline at nighttime but it made me ill. now you say cranberry juice is good for infection? is this true or another thing that makes me ill?

oops meant to quote not thank this post :o

anyway i wanted to say noone has given any medical advice to YOU personally at all, no medical advice is given at all on this thread, all it is is a support thread where we discuss anything our doctor has said or given us and say if things work for us.

NO ONE will advise YOU to take different medication or different amounts at all on this thread, if sue said something extra works for her then that is JUST FOR HER!! I will say again this is a support thread for those of us with related problems and not an advice thread at all.

  • i know it is not an advise thread.i have troubke with my amitryptaline and she suggested to another poster to try more in an evening. so why cant i try that too,? it must not have been good because now i look and the posts are gone. people should not say to try other things if this is not an advise place. she says cranberry juice is good for utis. not cranberry juice was good for me. you see it is different,? is cranberry juice good for utis or is it not>?

I have a stew bubbling away in the slow cooker and chocolate chip shortbread chilling in the fridge before i cut it into fingers and into the oven ;) so now im going to sit here for a couple of hours

i hope everyone is having a nice warm relaxing day, we have a little snow blowing across here but none landing, i need it to stay clear so i can drive to work tomorrow ;)
