  • Hi again all
Some good news - have heard from s/e. She's fine and hopes to be back soon.
I'm really not doing well today. The meds I mislaid means I've been without a dose for 24 hrs and I get the most awful withdrawal effects - kinda like you turn your head and your brain only follows 10 seconds later. This, combined with a horrid ulcer under my tongue and some realisations has dropped me down low.
Driviing back from GP's I sudedenly had a memory of when Mum was dying in the hospital and we had to make the decision to stop pro-active treament and it hit me like a ton of bricks.
Also, having to change my mobile phone as I can no longer manipulate the keys to text as they're too small.
I do know it will pass, but I think I'll take myself off for a Lush bath and write today off.

sue when I had the jab in my elbow, my joint was quite sore for a while afterwards and I'm not sure whether it was due to the jab or the original injury. Meant to say this earlier - please treat yourself gently.

BBL when tabs have kicked in and am hopefully feeling a little brighter.
Well done on another win reah!

Ugh, so tired. Gathered enough spoons to go out to the bank, and I'm glad I did, they wiped all my unplanned overdraft charges (damn short-term memory loss to hell ). Then to the doctor's on the way home, and let's hope I have enough spoons to make my appointment on Monday to get things arranged for probably-most-likely-starting to try Lyrica.

    How's everyone? *hugs*

Oh bless you cwta you must be feeling poorly, I think you meant Sharon and not me. I hope you've found your meds, taken them and are on the way to feeling better by now, I expect the memory of your mum shook you up as well, enjoy your lush bath.
I hope raeh and Trialia both rest up and feel better soon too.

The weathers supposed to be much colder over the next few days so I think with everyone feeling a bit grotty its a good time to snuggle up and rest this weekend.
Im off for my lush bath in a minute too
    take care

On the subject of staying in this weekend... hell yes. *G* My friend Helen is coming over, and we're going to watch Battlestar Galactica right from the start as she's never seen it - which I will thoroughly enjoy, however tired I get.

I'm in shock.Filled in my IB50 QUESTIONAIRRE before xmas and been expecting a medical, getting really stressed about it,having had one a yr for 3 yrs and been really distressed and in pain after each one.Just heard this morning that i'm officially incapacitated until /2107/10 without a medical!.:) much less stress!.Apparently my form,a gp letter and proof of my blue badge helped them decide.

I get LRC DLA(indefinite) but no mobility.I may put in a claim for DLA but Having had a very nasty appeal(they are in our local court room) I'm a bit wary of losing it all.I know its only 18 pw lowcare but if it means a medical I'm not sure.

Does anyone have any exp.of reapplying after gaining a blue badge via gp letter please?
Every day above ground is a good one ;)

  • Aaaww CWTA I hope you're feeling better soon! I don't know whether I replied to you when you said about the lush bags selling out. Don't worry about it, thanks for going : )

I went through the same kinda thing with my mum. She had a brain hemorage (?) and we had to decide whether to turn the machine off. They told us she was brain dead and if she did recover she would be a vegetable. We turned it off but whenever I see programmes saying people have miraculously recovered from that kind of thing I am in bits for days. There will always be some kind of guilt attached to what we did. I really feel for you.

Well, must go. In the middle of a big bust up with OH. Oh well, I don't think we will last much longer.

    Have a good weekend everyone!
    xxxx
  • Trialia, hope you have a wonderful weekend with your friend.
LW, you have a great time chilling with your OH.
Raeh, hope your head clears soon - horrid aint it.
Sue and sharon, Soz to get things all confuduzzled.
crutches and saffie, welcome to the group. I don't think I've said it before.
Kass,Sounds like you had a horrendous time too. Mum has been gone almost 3 years now which is why it came out of the blue and knocked me off my perch.
Unity, look after yourself this weekend.
bz, congratulations on your lovely new home. Look forward to seeing you back when you're settled and straight. (and need a lodger!)

When I start to get a bit poorly, run down or stressed, I get excema under my arms and at the hairline at the back of my neck and as today has gone on, I've been scratching like a monkey.
Cue the steroid cream and a wonder if I'm heading for a flare up. Do hope not.
Am sure mood will be improved tomorrow and will make a point of catching up on sleep this weekend.
Wishing you all peaceful and happy dreams.

p.s. sorry to any I've missed!

  • Well if that episode yesterday is anything like life would be without the anti-d's, I don't wanna go there!

Am picking up again this am, but am running round like a blue a'd fly trying to get things ready for the cleaner. What's that all about? Still, she's so lively, she'll perk me up a bit.
I had a little bit of a wake up call at gp's yesterday that, although I've gone down a size and a bit, my BMI has risen to a totally unacceptable level (for me imo) 7 points from what it was before.
I think it may be time for me to join the hydrotherapy club to get some exercise.

Why is it when you start looking after your skin again after being bad for a month or so, you come out in spots all over the place. Tis not fair *grin*

Ok enough of the random stream of consciousness - time to finish coffee and fag and go out and get papers.

p.s. picked up a BNF textbook 2nd hand the other day - look it up. Could come in handy apart from being interesting reading - does that make me sad??!!

Hope you're all enjoying what you're doing.
