Aww Cutie dresses BZ. What did SIL think of your dress??
Did you like it more this time?
No worries - I have T-Cell Lymphoma and have been allergic to all chemo so far. I hardly ever think of it a it troll (grin) along in the background. It's only low grade and, to be honest, I prefer to leave well alone.
Tilt Test was OK, but it really upsets your balance (doh!) so it's not particularly pleasant. Have to wait quite a while for results as cardiology dept is snowed under. Was 12 weeks before i got results of 24 hour heart monitor.
Hello newcomers - cant think of anything sensible to add to what BZ said until I've had my bacon and cheese sarnie.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

raeh I hope you had some rest on your day off. I absolutely agree to a genetic disposition to depression. My Sister, Dad and I all took part in a study for Kings in London about genetics playing a part as we all suffer from it. To be honest, I'm happy saying no to chemo at the moment as things appear pretty stable.
Hi to saffy and fairydust, sakara etc
This thread has made an immense difference in my life - I don't get support and validation IRL, so it's wonderful to come here, laugh, moan, mope and know that you are amongst people who understand and gently support you.
Safe to say I'm addicted and ain't going anywhere! *grin*

Thanks for the welcome!
I have an appointment with my GP tomorrow for a referral to a pain clinic so I think I'm going to ask him how I can get this clarified. I also attend an NHS Homeopathic hospital and am constanty blown away by their knowledge, compassion and understanding when it comes to Fibro this consultant insists the original diagnosis is correct. I'm just going to keep pushing till I get an answer!Hi Fairydust and welcome  glad you've come in to join us
One thing I need to pick up on "the new doc decided I didn't have fibro as I'm too young"...erm as far as I'm aware, from what I've read and been told, there's no age limit to Fibro! Children have been diagnosed with it! I would challenge it if I was you chuck... especially if it's making you feel uneasy not knowing if you're coming or going...?
I hope you get somewhere with your tribunal and they see what you're struggling with. If not though, take heart that there are still other options available, even if it is the last thing you feel like!!0 -

Oooh bacon and cheese sarnie......I'm gonna have that for me brekkie.
This was just a quick look in. This forum moves way too fast for me, I come back a few hours later and I can't keep up!
When I read about how other people have other things on top of FM I feel a mixture of guilt and hope. Guilty for being so pathetic with myself but hopeful (and proud even though I don't know you) that I too can find a way to manage if other people can.
I have IBS too and that has caused me to get Diverticular Disease. Has anyone else had strange things going on with their hands? My fingers bend back and seem to lock into place at the knuckle halfway down the finger. It freaks me out every time it happens and I was just wondering whether it was part of the FM or I am just a bit strange *manic smile*
Sharon59 I don't think she will be visiting again if you're giving her eels hee hee!
I didn't have the energy to go into school. I was so tired all of a sudden so I came home and laid on the sofa with my eyes closed from 3.20 until 7.30!! I am now going to bed, my leccy blanket should have it nice and warm and my new memory foam pillow (bought from the car booty for a tenner!) will keep my head and neck comfy. OH wants me to take him to work in the morning so need to be up at six.
I am drowsy on a morning so my doctor said to take my meds a bit earlier and see how that affects me. She mentioned she might put me on Gabapenthin (think that's what she said) does anyone know what that is?
xxxx0 -
ive been on gabapentin..its similar to Lyrica (progabelin) neither sadly worked for me, but others have had succes with them0
-
Kassandra glad to see that your doctor mentioned this first
I think Gabapentin is from the same family as pregabalin (and another gabalin that I can't remember). I'm on Pregabalin (aka Lyrica) and it's a drug originally used for people with epilepsy.
(Man, my typing is lousy today...I've done FAR too much and will be FAR too knackered to face the day, let alone the journey and wait and journey back, never mind actual appointment(!), tomorrow for seeing Endocrinologist that originally dxed me...can't remember what I actually asked for a re-referral for now!! Eek!)"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0
