That sounds very like the G word that we're not allowed to utter LW so I suggest you get it out of your head right now! And be told, lady! You are neither useless nor baggage!!
And I'm sure we all know that feeling of not knowing who did/said what when...I certainly do!
You been told yet?
BTW, did I hear something about someone getting married?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
bz you snuck in whilst i was typing
those bridesmaid dresses are beautiful
very similar to the butterfly ones my sis had from next, they were a bargain compared to bridal shop ones and looked gorgeous on
welcome fairydust07
Those dresses will be ideal with the butterfly theme BZ, did you ever get to see the tins in Lakeland? I was in there on Monday and saw them - You would probably need to make a few - but I'm sure that being creative, you could position them artistically - so they look like they are following each other IYSWIM.

Unity-- sounds like you might enjoy attending a Unitarian service
you should try it, maybe. I'm Unitarian/Buddhist/Earth-centred pagan, myself.
I went to a funeral about a year and a half ago and can't remember if it was a Unitarian or a Humanist and there may be a world of difference (you know what the fog is like ) but I was really impressed. I know that people always talk about a 'celebration of a life' - but for once this wasn't at all the overly sentimental type of thing that I for one am used to.Careful_with_that_Axe wrote: »*wanders in rubbing eyes and blinking in the light*
So this is what morning looks like!
Tis funny, neither myself or my Sis have any real memories of our childhood - not coz anything traumatic happened that I know of! I think it's possibly coz we moved around so much with Dad's work.
I am attracted to the buddhist philosophy of life - sort of, first do no harm approach and gotta love karma!
We've done sex and now religion, about the ony thing left for us is politics!
I have GP appt this morning and then taking Dad out for lunch (give me strength and patience).
No doubt I'll be back later when the brain is working properly. But who knows when that might be *grin*
When did we do sex? Did I blink and miss it or was I absent that day :rotfl:.
I've been avidly watching "Around the World in 80 Faiths" with Peter Owen Jones and isn't he a great find? A bit like a religious Keith Floyd- eccentric and a real character. It's on BBC iPlayer if anyone is interested, alternatively BBC2 Friday 9pm. A fascinating programme that among other things - shows how in the Far East many religions co-exist with a phenomenal degree of tolerance  - Buddhists worshipping at Hindu shrines - because they also respect the Hindu Gods - wonderful :T. I too have always been interested in Buddhism - but I found the programme that included the Taoist philosophy really intriguing, so much so that it's another thing on my 'To Do' list of things to investigate.
As to politics - well there's a thing . I was once regressed by a hypnotherapist (still not sure what I believe on the re-incarnation issue - whether it is tapping into the Collective Consciousness or really a possibility) but I had some very vivid memories/imaginings of being a soldier in Cromwell's army. Whether this accounts for my antipathy towards the Royal Family and 'Popery' is another matter. I suspect being taught by nuns was probably more to do with the latter :undecided.
I have now officially lost the plot - but then if I have to try and keep track of more than half a dozen posters on this thread it was always an inevitablility.
So to all the newbies - welcome, please don't think I'm ignoring you - I am certainly a little batty - but unlike the furry little 'Children of the Night'my radar is completely b*ggered
.
To my fellow Pagans and everyone else, 'Blessed Be' and 'Love and Light'.

Unity - Nope, we have very close links with the British Humanist Association. There's not a lot of difference between basic Unitarian beliefs and humanism, just that we as a group tend more toward spiritual humanism than secular.Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0

Thanks for this. it is wonderful to hear someone mentioning the similarities between Faiths, rather than the differences :T there may be hope for us all yet .Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever
