After reading through this thread I hope as many of you as possible had a comfortable Christmas. I often feel that alternative ways as well as conventional medicine can help in lessening pain. I have been spending the last year helping friends and colleagues with something I bought for myself as I was so impressed with it. It is especially good for people with no energy and insomnia. Also great for Fluid retention. I would like to post it here to see if it may be able to help any of you but don't think I am allowed to so feel free to email me if you want any information.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

Remember me moaning about my nails keep breaking and me wondering if it was a Pregabalin side-effect? Well my brother sent me this today:From

Dry, brittle nails that easily break are another common wintertime problem, or sometimes due to illness, exposure to chemicals, strong detergents and nail polish removers. Soaking brittle nails in warm water for a few minutes and then applying olive oil or petroleum jelly at night can strengthen and make them more flexible. Most nail creams are no better than ordinary moisturizers. Nail hardeners will harden the nails, but may provoke a condition where the nail plate lifts from the nail bed. They can also discolour the nails or cause bleeding under them, so should be used with caution. The adhesive used to apply artificial nails can cause allergic reactions. Contrary to folklore, gelatin usually does nothing for dry or brittle nails, unless the person is suffering from a protein deficiency, in which case it will take three to six months to get noticeable results!
So I'm hoping that it's the winter weather rather than the meds...fingers crossed!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

Triplets, Jamla! Flamin nora!
I have a day to myself today thank goodness. It would be nice to get some housework done, but I think I deserve a day of rest. Also, if I start it tomorrow, it will feel like starting the New Year off in the right way. Usual night in front of the TV here tonight, but will watch out for the fireworks at midnight.
As I'm all out of my usual routine, I'm going to try to start off again tomorrow with more of a regimen of achieving something every day, no matter how small.
I hope you all have a wonderful time tonight whatever you are doing.
LW, I hope you shake the blues off and start afresh.
Suep, I hope your flu is improving.

Raeh, I hope your life and job continue to give you joy.
To anyone I've missed, I can only apologise and wish you a wonderful 2009.

All the best for 2009, folks. I can't stay online long, as Mr LW is finishing work early, and then we have to do a foray to Morrisons for some supplies (I haven't shopped since before Xmas!!) but I didn't want to miss saying HAppy New Year to my online pals.:beer:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Not got much planned tonight either Cwta. We were going to go to OH's friend's but it got cancelled, and we've both come down with colds and can't be bothered to attempt making other plans, frankly."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
