Anyone else worried about this new government thingy about everyone on benefits having to get a job except the severly disabled ? I think it's very scarey as we dont look disabled, let alone severely disabled. It's not that I dont want to work, but I know I couldnt manage a job, Ive been trying to think all day about a job I could do if they insist and I cant think of anything.

To be honest Sue...I'm trying not to!
Sounds terrifying to me. But it might be scaremongering to flush out the fakers..? I don't watch, listen or read the news though, so I only get the tidbits people throw me...:o I did hear a bit about them (ppl on bens) going on courses etc (presumably to get better chances of working?) but as I was on a course I actually wanted to do when I got so ill I couldn't work anymore (paid for by my own good self) and GP told me he would strongly recommend that I didn't go anymore, I don't think I should have too much trouble getting doctors backup if it came to it..?

soak it in boiled water and biological washing powder. if that doesnt shift it then tomorrow stick the pan of soapy water on the hob and boil it for a while (just sont let it boil dry like i do), then leave to soak again and it should come up good as new, well almost.

depends on what benefits they are talking about....there are heaps of people about claiming jsa while working, if they are made to do other stuff then they can no longer do that. but i get the impression they intend to pick on everyone. i dont think it will get them the results they want....more chances to try it out would be better, not telling us that if we can do a 4 hour a week voluntary job we can work full time etc would mean more people are not scared of trying and loosing all their benefits thus ending up worse off.

    im ignoring it for now.

  • Has anyone found that with Plaquenil they are less sensitive to hot water?I love a really hot shower now and would never have tolerated it before?!
  • Natasha, I didn't found that with Plaquenil, but then I've always been a fan of a hot baths. Careful you don't burn yourself if you aren't aware how hot the water is?

Although, that being said, I have it so hot now I come out looking like a lobster, so there may be something in that. I'll see if I can find an old leaflet and have a look.
