Me too. I love flylady because she tells you you are not behind (even though you know you are). Currently struggling with bounced emails though. I float in and out of Flylady but do better when I am in. OH takes the mickey when I clean the windows and the rest of the house looks like the Life of Grime programmes (but he does sod all).

Yeah, I've been doing it for a while. It works for me, so I put up with the gushiness of the emails. Not everyone needs a system like Flylady's, but it makes a big difference to my life.
A while ago I thought I'd fallen so far away from the plans that I'd have to start again from scratch - but when I stepped back and looked at it, all I'd stopped doing were Kelly's Missions and the 15 mins a day. I was still shining my sink, making my bed, dressing to shoes, keeping on top of laundry, the weekly home blessing, laying out my clothes before bed and probably lots of other things that are so routine now I don't notice them. It didn't take much to get back on track - and some perverse part of me actually enjoys Kelly's Missions!
And it really is amazing how much I can get done in 15 minutes! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who has never really had a clue where to start. If you can embrace the underlying principles of the system (baby steps, jump in where we are, no whining, no being a martyr) it's a great tool to sort your house out, keep it sorted and even increase self-esteem. And it's such an efficient system that you spend less time on housework and less time feeling guilty and therefore more time on things you enjoy.
I have the emails sent as a 'daily digest' and I go to the website for the missons and weekly zones. When I fancy reading the testimonials I scan the emails, otherwise I delete them - if you're still getting them as individual emails (and having a problem with keeping up with them) I'd suggest changing the settings in the yahoo group to daily digest. The difference in the timezones means that the reminder emails don't serve much of a purpose but to clutter up the inbox.Sealed Pot Challenge 5 - #1742 :j0 -
I am also a fly baby, thedifference it has made to me and the flat is outstanding, although I am not doing all my routines, missions and zones at the momment my flat still isn't too bad. With a 3 month old in tow still trying to jump back in.
3 years ago, i wouldn't wash up for a week, would do laundry only when it was desparately needed and didn'y know what dusting was. I was suffering from severe depression.
since marla all that has changed, i am top of the laundry, the washing up is done every day, each zone is dusted once a week and more importantly now only suffer with mild depression.
It has made such a diiference to my life and now I actually feel I can achieve something.
take a look give it a go, if its not for you don't worry. If it is welcome to a better life.

I did sign up to Flylady and my inbox got bombarded with emails, just didn't have the time to sit and sift through them all. I do check out the site to give me a bit of a bumpstart whenI need it. Good site and is helpful to a lot of people. When I do go on on though I quickly check through, get motivated and then get going. I'd rather spend as much time as I can getting the stuff, I just need a little bit of inspiration, gives me a kick in the butt to get going. A little bit of time on the site just to inspire me and then I'm off. Good site, like www.organisedhome.com when I have the time to check it out.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0

I joined flylady in October after somebody mentioned it here (I'm afraid I don't know who so I'm not sure if I thanked them or not
). I'm still very much a flybaby but its really helped me as I'm definitely a perfectionist, and will spend all day cleaning a room so its spotless but then not do anything for a month becuase I haven't got the time to do it "properly", and then wonder why its not clean anymore! To those of us who need flylady, it makes such a big difference that you probably can't appreciate if you don't need it!
I have a filter on so all flylady related stuff goes in the same folder, but am online all day most days so the amount of emails don't bother me. In fact I get everything twice so I have no excuse for forgetting it! - If you want the reminders at about the right time of day then join

I have also recently joined Flylady, but have not been great at doing everything. For one thing, my DH is not keen on indoor shoes being worn in the house all the time, so I have not done that bit, but have been shining my sink - as far as possible, as it is a 17 year old asterite sink so shining is not one of its attributes! But the general idea is there! I like the fact that everything is in small bite-sized times, as I know what she means by the "perfectionism" that would rather leave things than not do them thoroughly. Even if I haven't got a control journal up and running yet, things are a lot better here than they were!0

Been following it for years as I've found it much easier to get on with than some of the other systems but I cheated in a way. I bought the book way before I visited the website and when I feel I am slipping I just get the book out and a quick read often gives me that kick up the bum that I need. It also gives me ideas when my brain has gone dead.
At the moment I am surrounded by empty cardboard boxes that I don't have time to take for recycling. Lightbulb moment this morning, they are all going in the cellar until after christmas when I take everything else down the tip for recyclingOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Love love love FlyLady. Even though I havent been at my best recently and have struggled to do 99% of the routines and missions I had down pat 3 months ago, I KNOW that as soon as I get a little bit better I'll be back in there with a vengence.
My favourite saying is that 'I can do anything for 15 minutes' although sometimes I may make that 5 if I'm feeling particularly pants!! :rudolf: She's right - I CAN do anything if I know that when my timer goes off I can stop.
I agree the emails and the All American approach arent to everyone's taste, but I'm prepared to overlook that aspect in order to benefit from what is undoubtedly a fabulous tool that saves my sanity.I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle0 -
Have had a look and made sure I got dressed to shoes and got on with a big tidy up today but then got side tracked by MSE! Did n't sign up for the emails as don't think I could cope with them!! :xmassign:Here dead we lie because we did not choose

My DH is the same - I bought myself a pair of soft-soled, canvas deck shoes that I wear indoors. They look smart, but I doubt they affect the carpet much more than slippers would.
