I've just had a £10 Boots voucher from IPSOS arrive in the post so I've updated my total accordingly. I'm waiting for another boots voucher from valued opinions, then I can go and get some christmas presents from there :).

My sore throat has got worse and I seem to have a full blown cold now, so I've asked my dad to get some stuff for me on the way back from work so I can juice it. It sounds disgusting, but carrot, garlic, ginger and orange juiced works like a miracle cure for colds. It smells pretty nasty but I'd rather that than feel like rubbish.

Ooh, and I've just got a new Pinecone survey to do...

    Afternoon everyone,

I feel pretty rough today as I have a horrible cold and was up all night, but I did apply for a christmas job at Argos last night so fingers crossed... I've added my £1 to my ISA, and I've got £15 in Amazon vouchers from dooyoo today which I have exchanged with my nan for cash.

The locket I was selling on ebay ended at £9 last night so I'm hoping it will be paid for soon, I've also been paid for a pair of earrings on etsy. The buyer was having problems with paypal so I wasn't convinced I'd ever get the money, but I have it now so it's a bonus I wasn't expecting :). Irritatingly I'm only £1.30 from being able to withdraw my cash...nevermind!

Looking at my free money total I've made £47 in 9 days which is pretty good (I'm surprised), and that isn't including the $50 from global test market.

I keep looking at jewellery making bits that I want but I've managed to restrain myself so far. I might go mad and buy a few bits when my paypal money is in my bank.

Anyhoo, that's it for now :)

I've just added the Amazon code from dooyoo and found I already had £5 on it... I wonder where it came from? It's a nice surprise though lol.

    Morning everyone,

I'm feeling a bit better tody, but I still can't smell or taste anything. I couldn't even smell the curry I made my dad last night (that's good though as I hate curry). My glands have gone down which is at least a step in the right direction.

I haven't heard from the temp agency about my tax still, I was hoping it might go in to my accout today but that hasn't happened. If they don't call me by next Tuesday I'll email them as it will have been a week, and I think they might be able to understand what I'm saying better if it's written down.

Last night I withdrew £58 from my paypal account leaving me £9 something in there. I sent someone a second chance offer on ebay which made me another £8.50 so when the winner also paid I left that in there as I'm going to use it to buy a few jewellery making supplies.

The £10 from bingo is in my account now, so I've added it to my ISA. I hope my global test market cheque arrives soon. Ooh, and I won a total of £1.20 on scratchcards today :). I'm up to about £7 on a couple of them so hopefully I'll be able to withdraw soon.

What's these free scratchcards you are talking about?

Mine and your problem is very similar! I'm trying to pay off my student overdraft, and I also have £10,000 student loan debt AND I need money for a deposit!
I couldn't get a job for ages either, not even a temporary one. I luckily have one at the moment, but it ends in Feb :(

Hi Gemma, I'm having the same job problems so I've just applied to the Princes Trust to try and get help starting my own business. I know it's stupid but sometimes I honestly feel like I'm unemployable, and graduating in the middle of the current financial situation doesn't help.

There is a huge thread on the scratchcards here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1008985&highlight=free+scratchcards

You can also join the take a break one as it's run by different people so they won't close your account down.

I received a £12 e-voucher from Toluna this afternoon so I've just added it to my total. BUT the site was being really slow so I refreshed what must have been six times when the code was in the box. Now my balance shows £72  (this is even when I refresh), and I'm pretty sure I could use it if I wanted to. I kind of hope it sorts itself out soon as I'd feel guilty using it all, and I don't want HMV coming after me. I must have refreshed again after as then it said the code had already been added, but 6 times? I think it is madness that the site has allowed this to happen.

It kind of reminds me of the time I found a big wad of notes on the floor (I didn't even count but it looked like about £100) at Sainsbury's where I used to work when I was at college. I handed them in but I didn't even get a thank you. I was really irritated because most people would have grabbed it and ran. I bet the person I handed it into took it instead. I hate people but at least I had a clear conscience.

I got my voucher from Toluna today too, they must do them in big batches because my BF was waiting for his for ages and got his today too.
  • That's crazy (lucky?) about the HMV vouchers! I'd spend them if I were you, but I don't have much of a conscience... plus HMV have messed me around many many times in the past with their godawful ordering system so I wouldn't feel guilty.
