  • mummysaver - well I thought of that but instead I've just e-mailed her "apology" into all my friends/spies at work!!! :rotfl: I very much doubt a drink will be happening.... (unless I can drink blood..:D .)

Well two things today - I've been having lots of "expectant mother" symptoms and yet 2 negative tests so got a blood one done - that too is negative - so why I have not "had the decorators 'round" since August is  still, means I can have my MRI scan of my abdo tomorrow and then it's back to the endocrinologists....... and after I'd splashed out 68p on some liver for liver and onions too......... ah well, suppose it's good for me. Actually I need to look on the OS receipe thread for it done in milk. However, - 2nd thing - any of you near an Ethel Austin our local one is 20% off today so it might be worth having a look at yours. Got a top and a scarf for £5.60 - the top was already 1/2 price (£8 to £4) and the scarf should have been £3. AND managed to get a thick lip pencil sharpener for £1 off the market - bad news though is the petshop's gone pear shaped so I couldn't go and talk to the parrot..... also got some big bags of wallflowers ready for planting from the market £1 per bag and there must be a clump of about 50 in each bag (got 2) hurrah! Just told Mr Rage the news re the test result from the GPs and he's gutted........ Ah well, never mind, give us a bit more time to sort out the house then.....

For anyone who has excess books if you can leave them where they are try greenmetropolis if they are in good condition - books from there cost £3.75 of which £3 goes to the seller and you can charge extra for postage if the item is heavy otherwise it's just normal postage!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    Morning darlings!

Snowy - congratulations on the job and give Dylan a cuddle from me.
Thriftlady and Snowyowl - I am also a punctuation/spelling control freak. Even in my chat room I have to sit on my hands to stop myself from correcting others appalling spelling and I hate all that text talk/short cut 'speak'. I spell everything out in full on my texts, much to the amusement of everyone else... I have a feeling that you ladies are probably the same!
churchmouse - I hope you enjoyed your break away and happy anniversary hon.

Dinner today will be fish pie, pollock, king prawns and smoked haddock. Sounds really exotic doesn't it? But the prawns were whoopsied, the pollock was on offer in Lidls and the smoked haddock was on special offer and a treat for us. I also have cheese sauce sachets left from my pre-OS days and will add mushrooms and broccolli. Topped with mash and a sprinkle of cheese and it should be lovely. Been a long time since I made one though so I am winging it a bit! crossfingers.gif I am cooking mine in my silicon cookware too Mummysaver..

Cheese, onion, grated carrot and mayo sandwiches again for lunch with bread from the BM. Yum!

smileyhug.gifto all who need them today and congratulations to anyone who is celebrating today.

    afternoon everyone,
I have been up to the charity shop again with my little trolley to offload books. That must be about 20 carriers full in the last two weeks and about 21 left to go. Our cupboard is so much more useful when not filled with books we never look at.
We are off out to pick up a mattress from freecycle this evening,DD didnt mention the massive cavernous hole in her mattress before going off to uni,it is dangerous though as the springs are sticking out, I dont know how she managed to sleep on it.
Dont know if charity shops can take home recorded videos or what to do with them if they cant,we have loads just sitting in a drawer unused as the video player is not connected up anymore.
Yay petrol prices are coming back down. The petrol station was just changing the price back to 99.9p as I walked past today, that is about a 15p reduction in the last month.
    All the best

  • Hi Guys!

Glad-You have mail with regards to DD's glasses.

Back from the hospital, arm sore but Im ok. Thanks to the person who PM'd me this morning with regards to my nosebleeds. I had my INR checked through my vein blood today and it was 5.4 which means my blood is running over 5 times runnier than a normal person....hence the bleeds. Thanks to that person....you were correct!!

Have just put some chips in the Remoska and we are having Fried Egg, leftover ham and some tinned spagetti with them. Not feeling too hungry but got to eat.

    Hope your all well. Hugs

    evening all,

Had a lovely walk up the beach with little dog, walked for about 5 miles, it was beautiful the sun was shining, not a soul about, and the tide was right out, so we had the sand to ourselves. Just waiting for the potatoes to finish, and will then dish up.

Snowy, I hope Dylan is ok, good news of the job:T .

    Hello everyone

I'm truly down in the dumps now. Wee Dylan is back from the vet - he got his enema but it hasn't come out again. It's because there is hardly any muscle tone in his colon and so he can't squeeze waste material towards his rear end. It's not looking good at all. I have to go back to the vet tomorrow to pick up medicine for him to see if that will stimulate his gut to move. Unfortunately it's not constipation otherwise laxatives and a change of diet would do the trick. The vet says it's idiopathic, ie no reason for it, it just happened of it's own accord. It's sick making, he's only three years old and such a good wee boy.

Rage in Eden, I'm sorry that your tests are coming up negative. Don't give up until after your ultrasound though, those test thingies never claim to be 100% accurate. Fingers crossed for you that you'll get the blessing you and OH want so much.

Happy anniversary Churchie and OH. I hope the M&S or Waitrose cuisine hits the spot.

    I'm off now, bye.

    Snowy
