    Morning all,
    JOANNASMUM, HAPPY BIRTHDAY _party_

Managed to get some banking sorted y/day. Kaupthing Edge was taken over by ING a couple of weeks ago and all cash had been floating about somewhere, it finally reached our bank accounts on Fri. Phew. So moved it about y/day. Still have to wait for the Icesave money, that could take months. MARTIN has received some very nasty comments on the ''Knock Martin thread'' Uncalled for as no-one had a shotgun to their head forcing them to invest in Icesave.

Today someone is collecting an armchair I put on freecycle, I bought a chair from L Ashley 6 weeks ago and it's being delivered tomorrow. yipee :j

Some YS beef defrosting ready for turning into a curry, DD2 has been craving currys for a coulpe of weeks now (4.5mths preggers) so I'll make enough for 8 portions and pop them in her freezer tomorrow when I walk their Labs.

MUMMYSAVER, Re the Carnival, I forgot it had started the rounds already. It's in Glastonbury on Nov 15th. Like your friend I also do a bucket full of roasties and jackets. I will have to start the menu plan soon as we have now 24 staying, some from 13th untill 17th.

Must get on and finish the last of 10 cushions I have made. Thank goodness.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOANNAS MUM:beer:
Thank you to all who replied to my question about carrotts i think i will buy a sack and put them in the dark shed of doom at the bottom of the garden and see how it goes.
Into town today to pay some money in, pay bills and post letters . tea tonight is chicken burgers in rolls and HM wedges as everyone is going in different directions after tea.
Need to speak to the school as the kids have a sponsered walk on fri as usual but it is a min sponsorship of £5 for them not to do it in school uniform i dont approve of them knocking at the neighbours as they are elderly and there are 3 of them we only have my mum so no family to ask so if i pay £15:eek:
Pen Pin hope you get on ok at the hospital.
hope you all have a good day and not too much snow Twink

Morning Chums I thought it was only me that got the days wrong, but a Month:eek: :rotfl: Thought I had done a Rip Van Winkle for a minute this morning. I was up with the lark, as I slept a lot better last night and it makes such a difference to get a good nights sleep.SC is on with a lovely Beef Bourginon cooking away gently. Just had my breakfast, then I will shortly be off to a 'trade fair' that came through the letter box on Saturday. Lots of freebies plus a bottle of vino How can I refuse. I promised my DD that I won't buy anything though. This afternoon I have my craft club and I shall make my DGS his 18th birthday card.Had a great night last night at college everyone was pleased to see me back, and we had a long discussion about the Crimean War. Not everyones cuppa I know but its quite surprising how wars since then have been almost identical in their treatment of the ordinary soldier, even up to todays conflicts. Still, it keeps this old dears little grey cells working so it must be good for me.
No housework today I am having what I call a 'me day' in which I do exactly what I feel like doing, and the housework can go hang for once:rotfl:
I hope everyone has a good day and <<hugs>> to those who need them.
    Cheers folks
    JackieO xx
  • Good Morning:hello:

I picked up the childrens sicky bug yesterday so I didnt get chance to post. I feel much better today, so best get cracking on with jobs that I never got to do yesterday.

((Pen Pin)) Hope it all goes well at the hozzy today.

Looks like its going to be a nice day here, so I'll get some washing out on the line. Need to make a curry for tea tonight. Should have had that last night, but I couldnt look at food yesterday:D

.....anyway, I'm off to watch the rest of Jeremy Kyle, finish my brew and get started...... or that might be, finish watching the rest of 'this morning'... finish watching 'loose women'.. I think its going to be one of those kinda days:D
I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like you :p

:p would like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing :o

Crisp autmn morning here, blue sky & sunshine but a bit nippy.

Whole chicken in the SC with some onions and a lemon, just need to cook a few veggies this evening, the rest will go in a Spanish chicken for tomorrow. Back to the hospital this evening to see my Gran, she's full of OS tips as well, she has inspired my OH who was lagging behind on all things OS.

    Morning Everyone

    Thank-you for the birthday wishes.

My lovely DH got me 'Nigellas Christmas' which is brilliant. DH said that he thought I might need another cookbook. I think that he might be being sarcastic, but theres no doubt he knows me well.

This afternoon DD, myself and MIL are going to see the English National Ballets version of Angelina Ballerina which is a childrens character, hopefully dd will love it and shes really into her ballet classes at the moment.

Tea will be a Lasagne and garlic bread.

    Have a good day everyone
