When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “Hi everyone, hope you are all well” type start does just as well.

Day off again today, so will do the little bits of washing that need doing, have a good clean through. I need to make some cookies for my dd, she likes the millies ones. I am off to see a friend for coffee today, she can talk for England  so I akways have to have an excuse to get away quick, she is lovely, but a bit lonely I think.
Chicken legs for tea, with mash and veg, I did an online shop yesterday and have most of the meals to take on holiday with us which will save some money, we will eat out a few times, just fish and chips or something.

Morning RR and all who cross/follow
Tired Mum I've pm'd you about the carrots as I'm not sure if you got an answer.
H & S have been told about the appalling state of my carpet & the trip hazard it poses, true to form, someone appeared with a roll of gaffer tape & attempted to stick it down, I now have more tape than carpet on the floor!
I've finished my 2nd blanket & am now starting some socks for Christmas presents.
Broccolli & Stilton soup for lunch & cottage pie for tea, all HM.
Belated Hippo Birdy to Pen Pen.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning. Dark and cold here and looks like it will be s struggle getting everyone up and 'at em' today.
I made some fab choc muffins yesterday, so they will be sitting pretty in the packed lunches.
We atr up the leftovers too, so the fridge looks clear and something new tonight.
Day off again. OH tried for 2 more jobs yesterday, so I hope somthing comes along soon.
Need to start draughtproofing the house a bit. I have wooden DG doors and windows, but over the eyars they have warped a little and no longer make a perfect seal, so I can save a little with some help from rubber strips.
I get my new tyres for the car today, big expense, but Barclaycard have given me 0% until oct09, so I should pay for it by then....
I got my lead fishing weights done. I made 47 ranging between 8oz and 1lb (deep sea stuff). Did'nt burn the shed down either. Lead is wierd stuff. All other metal float on top of the lead and when you pick the pan up you never realise how heavy it will be.
Cheers folksNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
Morning everyone:hello:
Isn't it dark in the mornings now, least it's not cold here to day.
Having a major kitchen clear out today, cupboards are over flowing with useful stuff trying to creep out:rolleyes:
DH got hit on the head last night by a plastic bowl as it come flying out of a cupboard as he tried to put the washing up away!
Need to make better use of the small space I have.
Hugs to all who need them:grouphug:

Good Morning Redruby, Hester and all to follow.
Am feeling pretty good today, I orderded some memory foam pillows which arrived yesterday and I did seem to get a good nights sleep. Now just waiting for the mattress topper.
Today is quite normal - office work this morning, housework this afternoon. Going to try to turn leftover pork into stew this morning - will have that for my lunch. Also if have time want to try and make a carrot cake. Asda had sold out of extract of vanilla the other day so will see if the local shop stocks it.
Popped into town with OH yesterday and picked up a couple of pressies for his family, when came home realised that I had bought all the presents for his side :j so later on this week will dig out the wrapping paper and get them wrapped and put away. Am so pleased with this as thought I was doing really bad this year. Aim now is to get everyone bar my children done by the end of nov.
Barbeque pork casserole with rice for dinner tonight.
Have a great day all.

Morning all:hello:
Not many of us up yet?
A nice, mainly quiet day ahead at home for me. I have a parent-teacher meeting after school with dd's teacher where I intend to point out that she (the teacher) consistently spells practise wrong on dd's spelling list. Yes, I'm a punctuation/spelling control freak, but if there's one place where there should be zero-tolerance to bad spelling and grammar it is in a school. I am going to be nice about it, I will suggest it is the fault of the spell-checker, but this is the 4th time one or another of my kids has had this teacher and it's getting to me.
Apart from getting into punctuation-police mode I intend to cook a packet of haricot beans and a packet of chickpeas for the freezer. I shall also bake a batch of bread. I really should clean the bathroom and downstairs loo but that is way down on my list of priorities.
My kids are eating cold cinnamon rice pud for breakfast and toast. It was intended for pudding last night but we were too full for it (I made Yorkshire puds to stretch a small amount of chicken stew).
They have cheese rolls, raisin-oatmeal muffins and fruit for lunch. Looks like I'm having leftover mash and leftover chickenless stew.
Supper will be sausages, beans and baked spuds plus coleslaw.0 -
Morning :hello:
Happy Birthday joannasmum :bdaycake:
I'm in a potato moodso I'm going to mash lots for the freezer. I want to make some little cottage pies - the troos all appear at different times so I thought individual ones would be better - so as the oven's going on I'll fill the gaps with baked potatoes and cake. And as I'm cooking mince, I might as well make some bolognese sauce.
Apart from that, it's just the usual washing, ironing, cage cleaning and card making.
I recorded a program last night about animals in the womb (can't remember what it's called) so I'll try and squeeze in some TV watching some time todayI am a coffee bean0 -
Morning Guys!
Im off to the hospital for my Iron Infusion which will take about 4 hrs, so I am taking a packed lunch and a book. For some reasons I keep having nose bleeds and have bruises all up my arm....will get them to take a look this morning though.
No washing today but the house is clean and tidy. I think we will just have Egg & Chips for dinner.
Happy Birthday Joannesmum:j :j :j

Got 2 days off now after a long weekend at work:j need to do some of my Extend revision too, am nervous about taking my first group session on Friday:eek: so need to practise.
Happy Birthday Joannasmum:bdaycake:

Morning
Happy Birthday JoannasMum, have a great one
RR, I got the cookie recipe from here for the Millie's type ones, but mine seemed to come out "fluffy" rather than flat & (eventually) chewy. Not sure why - might have another go today. And N9eav has reminded me about muffins which are so easy to make - I will do some raspberry & white chococlate ones I think.
EssexGirl, let me know how your pork stew works out (and how you do it) as I have a chunk of pork left from Sunday in my fridge & need to do something with it!
Home the next 2 days before officially starting my placement on Thursday, so will give some thought to lunch-type stuff I can take (and will still fancy by lunchtime...). And do some meal-planning once I've checked the contents of the freezer/cupboard. Supper tonight will be pie & mashIt's a comfort food sort of a day.
Kindly giving oldest DD a lift to college so will go via Matalan to return 2 pairs of trousers and then home to mainly study for rest of day. With a break for tea & muffins obviously.
((((hugs))) for those needing them.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0
