Im a regular reader of the mse website & found this thread by chance. I have been to partylite partys where i used to live, and i know how it all works as my friend used to do it, and I would love to become a consultant in my new area. Only trouble is i cant find anyone locally to sign me up. can anyone here help? The partylite website hasnt been much use to me!
Many thanks in advance.
It helps that you have been along to parties before as you know the products and pretty much how it works.
Where abouts are you?

Is everyone excited about the "Wags" promotion???
Should be good for getting bookings during the world cup!I get paid to party!:rotfl:0 -
I am, the presents are brilliant!
Of course I may not be able to offer those promotions if people keep cancelling on me... My first booking was supposed to be on Saturday, but it got cancelled. My next one isn't until the 27th, and I'm running out of people to ask! I need two more bookings soon in order to qualify for the first reward in the Brite Start programme. I'm starting to realise how hard it is to get bookings... :S0 -

To be honest it's about getting it off the ground and keeping that momentum going , breaking out into new groups . The best we I find of doing this is to develop other ways of getting bookings like doing fairs/ stalls etc rather than solely from parties. Develop an extra service that others aren't doing ( for example we do a free pack and deliver service , which despite what other consultants say , hostess's really appreciate it , because the last thing they want to do is come home from a busy day at work and have to unpack a huge box , bag up and work out who bought what, when we deliver it's another time you will meet the hostess and another opportunity to build the relationship) . Be inventive , don't be afraid to do you own thing like offering your own hostess specials and incentives for holding a party ( try using gold envelopes with a mystery gift inside) . Never tell people you are finding it difficult to get bookings , do the opposite . Hostess's will want to book with a busy consultant . You are doing them the favour by giving them the opportunity to have a great fun evening and get lots of freebies , they arn't doing you the favour. Try offering to bring a free bottle of wine with you to get their party started , or even a 4 pack of beer for their husbands while the world cup is on ( believe it or not husbands/partners are often the reason why parties can be cancelled ).
Anyway , good luck and I hope you get some more bookings soon . Don't give up . It will work if you stick with it0 -

Anyone can sign you up , but I would strongly advise you to choose someone who will come and give you one to one support ( face to face if possible) and someone who can do your starter show with you . The amount of support you get will really make a difference to your new business as they will be able to offer you both support and training . One of the most important aspects of training ( in my view) is being able to go out and observe a consultant doing a show and learning from them and this can be much more difficult ( although not impossible) to do this if your upline lives a long way away from you . The P/L website alows you to do a search for consultants/ leaders in your area0 -
Fab news about 25% from next week - can't wait to tell everyone at my parties over the weekend! :jI get paid to party!:rotfl:0

yes it's great news about the 25% apparently the friday after the general election the company had approx 500 party cancellations , maybe it was depression that set in over the election results lol:rotfl:, so thats why they have introduced the 25%0

500 is a lot - My RL said last week that most people were having a poor May - phew, thank goodness not just me!!! That may sound selfish but I'll be lucky to bonus this month!! I had my own show on Thursday night to try and pick up some bookings for June and it worked - I got 4 so June is now looking a bit healthier. I like to over book myself so that when 2 or 3 a month cancel it's not such a big deal as we will always have cancellations!! I also managed to get rid of some old stock which saves space in the garage and gives me money to buy more product - wayhay!!!!! Lol....Murphy's No More Pies Club Member No. 680

Well Done Donna , glad you have bookings into June . I think you are right about cancellations , I book as many as possible in because in my experience about 30% go down or move dates . I guess Ive now just accepted it as part of the business and try not to let it get me down and concentrate on what i have got rather than what I haven't . Ive had weeks where all the parties haven't held and then the following week they all hold , you just can't tell . This business is like a roller coaster one min you are up , the next you are down . I suppose the most important thing is to keep at it and don't give up.0

Just wanted to say hi, i took the leap from customer to consultant at the beginning of may, have cleared my kit and monday is my first solo party, scary but exciting at the same time
Its took me a couple of weeks but i've finally read all the forum messages and got plenty of enthusiasm and ideas from it, so thanks everyone for posting.
I just wanted to ask really if anyone has a template for the candle lottery, i'm making up packs and realised i dont have any, thanks in advance.
