Candlegirl reading back a few posts I can see you attended a Wedding fair I really want to start doing fairs as I was made redundant back in feb so PartyLite is now my main earner and I need it to work as i bought my first house in Nov =| I'm starting to do school fairs now the summer is approaching fast! But would love to venture into wedding fairs!! any hints and tips would be greatly appreciatedthanks xx
At the last wedding fair we were promoting - the tealights as wedding favours and also telling them they could get them free by having a party, we were also promoting the top table decorations.
We took everyone's wedding date and got quite a few parties booked from it.
Good Luck:beer:I get paid to party!:rotfl:0 -

You will not get many sales on the day if any but you will get bookings if used correctly. Use the candle pool, for contacts and orders. Adapt the survey to include when are they getting married.

Some really good ideas there Candlegirl , We did some wedding fayres but didnt get any parties booked , can you expalin in a bit more detail how you used the candlepool at these events , do you just sell the squares like you would at a normal party? Do you contact the brides nearer their wedding date to book a candle party ?0 -
Thanks guys! sounds as though they are worth doing if we can get a stand cheap enough!
how did you use the candle pool? and the tea light idea sounds brilliant! I bet that was a really good party booking tool! I'm quite busy with parties this week so I'm looking for new games to play!!
I'm off to look for wedding fayres now!xx

Hi guys,
I've decided to join and become a Partylite consultant! My starter show is on Monday, I can't wait!
I'm a bit worried about getting bookings though, trying really hard to get some before my show on Monday, but most of my friends are like "oh it's not my style" or "I don't know enough people"... I do try to nicely talk them into it, but I don't want to be pushy with my friends! I have about 5 "maybes" at the moment.
Anyway, I don't really have any questions at the moment, just thought I'd join you on here because I'm excited about starting up!
Edit: I have thought of a question!! How strict are they regarding Brite Start? For example, my starter show is on Monday the 10th May, and I have a booking on Tuesday 1st June. Will that count towards my 6 bookings to qualify for fast start? Or will they be picky for one extra day? I hope it still qualifies...0 -
Hi lilja
If I remember correctly, your Brite start period begins when Head Office recieve your starter show paperwork (I remember my leader held it back a few days so I could get the 6 shows into the 3 week period and the last one ended up cancelling).
Try to get your friends to come to your starter show - if they haven't been to a Partylite party before they may be more interested in having their own party once they see whats actually involved and what they could get for free.
Another idea is to ask your leader to lend you some tealights and give one out to possible hostesses as a wee incentive- if they like the tealights you can tell them how they can get more for free (i.e. through a party). If they don't want a party now you may still get some orders and hopefully a party in the future.
Lastly go to the training and if you can come to the conference. I have found the training useful and I have heard that the conference is fantastic.
Good Luck

Thank you Maddie.
I'm glad the booking I have on 1t June will count towards my fast start! I have 4 bookings now in the next few weeks, 5 including my starter show. I'm really excited!! I've been looking at business cards and things like that... I probably should wait to see how it goes though!
I haven't been offered to go to a training. From what I understand, my training will be going along with my leader and then with another consultant to shows. Is there something more?
Also when/where is the conference you are talking about? I'm going to a meeting on Sunday night, where consultants from the wider area meet once a month - is that what you mean?0 -
Hi Lilja
The training is with your leader and anything else you are offered such as regional meetings as you can pick up some good ideas at these.
I went out with a few different consultants to see the different approaches each had and to get some ideas. I think if you can try to go out with a few different consultants and use what works for you.
The Conference is on in August and your leader should be able to give you more information. I haven't been to one before but if you read some of the earlier threads everyone seems to learn a lot, get a lot of motivation and really enjoy themselves.

Im a regular reader of the mse website & found this thread by chance. I have been to partylite partys where i used to live, and i know how it all works as my friend used to do it, and I would love to become a consultant in my new area. Only trouble is i cant find anyone locally to sign me up. can anyone here help? The partylite website hasnt been much use to me!
Many thanks in advance.0 -
Hi
Any consultant or leader can sign you up. What area are you in? I am based in Surrey. If you can sign up with someone close to you it would help as you would be able to go out with them to party's for training. If you would like me to give you more details just pm me.
Good luck, its is a great job0
