I spend about £40 a week on packed lunches for myself, my husband and two children aged 7. It is cheaper than buying lunch but some still goes to waste. I buy invisible crust bread for my kids but I still end up throwing away the end bits which is such a waste but no-one will eat it. Has anybody got any ideas of what to do with them?0

I would say that I probably spend round about 3pound a day on lunch but I dont buy it everyday... sometimes I go home and make it myself which then makes it cheaper but other days I dont have time so I buy it which obviously costs more0

I always take lunch, I never buy so probably works out only a few pence a week. Reason, I buy a 2 packs of rivetas for 60p each and a jar of marmite for about £2.95. These last from 2 weeks to a month - fab0

I generally take a salad and fruit to work. I reckon about £2 ish per day.
Trouble is I still get hungry as my work pattern makes me have 7 hours between lunch and dinner, so I try hard to snack on bananas rather than cakes (I don't generally eat crisps.)0 -
I spend less than £1 - unless I splash out on a proper pasty0
