  • I make packed lunches - usually homemade soup - so our lunches cost about £1 a day, possibly even less!

hmm I'd say probably £3 if buying at work, or £1 if bringing in packed lunch
  • I make my husband a packed lunch each day which costs about £1.50 and my daughter has school dinners at £2.00 per day. I eat whatevers left in the fridge from the night befores dinner.
  • Less than £1 - homemade vegetable soup, bread (even posh Sainsbury's baker bread works out at 6p a slice), homemade cake, fruit from the market.

Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.
  • It costs about £2.40 for the 2 kids and about £2 for me and my partner per day!
So all in all approximately £4.40 per day but this does include a huge healthy variety of fruit and veg which for some reason always costs a fortune!
Sounds a lot but when school dinners are £2.50 per day at my the first school where my oldest son goes it does save!;)
  • :D I would spend £1.50 a day on food
  • I spend £2.50 per day on lunch - on myself and my two children
