about 4 pounds in the canteen but less than a pound if I make it myself which happens about 20% of the time (why oh why can I never summon up the energy to get up early to make my lunch!)

Hi this sounds like a great incetive. I do try to take a packed lunch, especially since the credit crunch hit. But if I don't have time, bread, etc. I buy from sandwich bar meal deal costs £2.50.
