Does that apply to existing customers then?....0 -
I'm still a customer, so I doubt they would do too much. They may offer something if I rang up to cancel, but not as good as would get as a new customer.
Box been working all day today
eBay seller has informed me the replacement box was being posted today and should be with me by Monday.0 -

Fingers crossed that it keeps working, the eBay seller is a bit slow sending stuff out.;)0 -

The visit const £65 which included the box.
Threaten to cancel your Sky subscription and Sky will waive the £65 charge and will fix/replace your box. You can't receive their service without a working box.0 -
The new box arrived yesterday, which was earlier than expected.
The old box is still (touch wood) working, but we needed a backup plan anyway.
Obviously if neither work eventually, i'll have to phone and cancel as their would be no point in paying for something we wouldn't be using and right now I couldn't afford the £65 call out!0 -
Not sure if anyone is around that can help, but will Sky be open this time of night and be able to activate the card in the replacement box and what details will I need? Should the box be connected before I call them as they may want some details?
The old box has gone wrong again!0 -
Swap the receivers over, put your card in the new box, go to menu to get the details of your new receiver. ( Make / Model / card details etc. )
Then ring Sky, I'm not sure if they are open at this time of day.0 -
Cheers.
Will probably ring them in the morning then and hope it runs smoothly.0 -
I had the same problem sometime ago, I called Sky amd told them I wanted to cancel my subscription as I could not afford the £65.
They offered to fit a new one free of charge if I stayed with them, you clould always call them and try thatPlease do not feed the Trolls!0 -
Right, new box is connected and about to call Sky...
One problem - the phone line lead won't come out of the back of the old box, no matter how hard I pullIs this a huge issue?
Neal - If Sky don't give me what I want, i'll threaten to quit. After all, unless they help me, they will lose a subscriber!0
