We used 113 units last week - against a target of 103. Don't think I'm ever going to reach it!
  • Pah I seem to be using 48-58 units a day!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keeping a thorough check at the moment will post readings later on, its unbelivable, I am trying so hard and dunno what the change is (thinking its my lodger he has a radiatior in his room that I put on at low (8p/hr) and he cranks up to high (28p/hour) and it stays on overnight be the looks of it - think thats where my extra is coming from (but without this thread I would not have know, about to check reading to last night as he wasnt here). Thinking about changing his heater from radiator to a halogen heater which at high I think would only use 10-12p/hr? but it will blind him through the night so it might be the way forward, ie he wont want to use it.
mutter mutter mutter - will add readings later - currently using about £7.50-£9 electric a day at least its just not on.

I'm quite pleased with my first week

    Gas - 454 so used 45 units as opposed to 62 - down 17 units :T

Electric - 76631 so used 81 units as opposed to 95 so down 14 units :T

Target is to get gas down to 35 units and elec 45 units.

I'm going to try and work out how much it costs me but it's a bit confusing because I am charged say 20p a unit for the first 600 units and then say 11p for all the others. Is this on a daily/weekly/monthly/yearly basis? How do I work it out?? Thanks :D

  • Original reading 28111
    reading 8/11 - 28180 (69 units)
    reading 15/11 - 28241 (61 units)

today's reading 28303, so 62 units this week, 1 more than last week. Iam determined to get it to 60!

I WILL get to 60 units!!

  • My meter reading this week was 57642 so 113 units used - 10 less than last week, which I thought was pretty good considering I had tumble drier on and the dishwasher TWICE last week!!!

My gas reading was 6502 which was only 9 units:T so seeing as this was the first week for my gas reading don't think I will be able to reduce that by 50%!!!

  • Had reading at 6am, but due to rushing about didn`t post, so here they are!

    WEEK1 WEEK2 WEEK3 WEEK4 WEEK5

Have got fed up of trying to find my previous posts to get the figures, so will be doing a spreadsheet - how retentive!

Hi pandapaws & everyone else too :D ,

A week after having shiny new meter fitted I'm here to declare the week's readings ( took me ages to work it out as so many different numbers & info  )

    Anyway - rate 1 : 37.41
    rate 2 - 5.93

I think it's my highest yet :( but I think it reflects the 2 times I stayed up to put the washing machine on at midnight so will definitely try to keep doing that.

  • Getting cross now ! Week 3 readings 4429, thats 130, up 2 units on last week.

This thread is jinxing me, I swear it. My reading for this week is 1208 and that equates to 121 units for this week. Week two went up by 3 units and week three has too. What's going on?

Now then, this is a wee bit better .............. am on 1326 so that's 118 units from last week. So, am back to my week two average.

Different_Corner did your ankle level search of plugs not help?

Does anyone know how I can work out how much my units cost?

    New readings taken today,

    t1 12933-12822 = 111
    t2 14167-14107 = 60

Well, that's going in the wrong direction although I was away for a couple of extra days last week.
    Good grief must try harder.
