    Morning everyone,
    right my readings are as follows....

    Leccy - was 52092 - this morning 52186 so 94 units used which is a reduction of 3 units:p . I was expecting this week to have been a disaster so not too bad in all.

    Gas - was 7992 - this morning 8000 so we've used 8 units. Wasnt quite sure what to expect but i thought it would of been more than that. We normally have CH on for 6hrs in total through out the day.

    Anyway from my calculations our leccy has cost £19ish and our gas not even a quid:rotfl: .I'm sure i must have worked this out wrong, our tariffs are...
    leccy first 900kw - 21.2p then 10.28p
    gas first 2680kw - 7.718p then 3.368p
    £387.39/£196.46
    Pay my debt by End of Feb 2022
    49.28% paid!

    £199.55/£500 savings by End of April 2022
    39.91% saved!

    Make £2022 in 2022 - £20
  • Just spent £11 on a single leccy blanket for DS.
    He as been moaning about a cold bed for a couple of weeks, so I succomed(?) to his request.

    Personally I like a cold bed, but obviously not him, and the wheat hot water bottle just didn`t cut it for him.

    We are back down to 62 day and 6 night units used this week. I think last week was so high because we had the immersion heater on as our heating was broken.

    Need to try a bit harder though.

  • Today my electricity readings are:

    High: 38300 (56 units used this week - 12 units less than last week!)

    Low: 77757 (17 units used this week - 2 units less than last week)

    Hope to try and bring it down even more this week.
    Cutting my bills down to size and saving money :j
    So far I have reduced my outgoings/increased my savings account balance by: £16.80 a month
    Lots more bill-slashing in progress :D
  • Really don't know where we're going wrong, I am like the electricity police these days, prowling around the house at skirting board level, checking plugs and switches are off, yet we've still used 50 units since Monday afternoon.

    Reading this week, (an hour late) was 12763, 85 units from last week so have reduced it 20% from control week and 24% was last week. ope we can keep this up as it looks like we are starting to make an impact. Yipppee.
  • Week 2 Figures

    Gas = 2085 (24 units used)
    Electricity = 36792 (128 units used)

    I was actually thinking today that I haven't had to have the gas fire on as much as I did last week, as we've had a few warmer days, however I have kept my central heating on as timed, so that was on more than it was the previous week.

    Got my final electricity bill today from British Gas, chuffing £178 from 9th August to 2nd November!!

    (dur just realised I edited last weeks post rather than quoting from it LOL)
    Start Date: 27/11/2010
    Padding: Day 42
    Target £8000
    Amount: £562.23
  • Pants, been so busy this week I totally forgot to take my reading! will do it next Monday and average it out, I have just received my energy saving bulbs (4) from EDF so hoping that will make a difference :D
