did email ch4 yesterday but no response, there probably isn't enough of us left for news worthyness.

One person would be enough for a news story.

They should have received several communications from former KE savers. I would imagine Ch4 contacted ING and were told all the money was going out in the afternoon.

Unfortunately, as Martin said, we have to wait until yet another Friday to see what happens.

I think it’s very poor that call centres cannot access individual accounts and give an honest and accurate assessment of the situation for each account holder but these are exceptional circumstances and they are hopefully running round like headless chickens trying to unravel the mess. Hang on in there.

We’re all guessing and that’s exactly the problem. We’re not just waiting for a washing machine or three-piece suite; it’s many people’s life savings.

I hope everybody will be happy on Friday. I’ve promised to stick with this to end and I’ve got a stack of work piling up.

I don't think I'll be happy on Friday- I still await 'Head Office' to amend my sort code to enable me to make a withdrawal and now they are stopping withdrawals. Glad sme people are getting their cash though.
  • £34k CHAPS 19 October not received yet - it looks like recent payment requests are also being affected by the backlog or release of funds from the administrator.

Given this situation for new withdrawers it would be good to know if it worth using BACS rather than CHAPS if there's no speed difference.

Thanks to MSE team and posters for the support!

I did two BACS transfers one on the 17th the other on the 20th. Will let you know when I receive them so we can compare time differences!
    CHAPS 8th received 20th into HSBC A/C
BACS on the 17th and 20th received 22nd into HSBC A/C
    CHAPS fee refunded 29/10
I can survive any crisis - I have kids!!

Do you mean the head office at your linked destination bank or KE?

Make sure you have screen grabs and/ or printouts of your statements, in the unlikely event you’ll need them.

Keep badgering them until they sort your problem. Sorry about the pun.

I would have been happy to see my money in KE. For 2 weeks it didn’t exist at all.
