My sister transferred a low amount of around £2500 the day before (On a Monday) Kaupthing went down/bought by ING, she received the money in her account the Fri/Sat just gone. :)...so it appears some money is finally leaving :)

Still waiting to find out about my Icesave money though :(
  • I got this in my Lloyds a/c last Friday. Apparently, it's their own name for CHAPS I was told on this forum. I didn't request CHAPS either!

F/FLOW next to transaction - this thread moves too quickly for me to respond!

  • I recieved 2 out of the 3 amounts that have been floating in the ether into my Lloyds acc yesterday. The final amount should apparently be in Friday latest. The folks at kaupthing (don't bother with ING, they read from a script) have told me they are pretty much in the dark as to how all this has been handled and read the latest statements from ING the same as we do!
Looks like its all starting to come in but to those folks who haven't recieved anything yet -just to say hang in there. My first 2 amounts that have come in, interestingly were from the 7th and 8th of October and the one still outstanding was from the 9th October, so I wonder if they are starting with the earliest chaps transfers first and working their way to the 9th, 10th and 11th last ie...those of you who did the tansfers after the 9th may have to wait untill this Thursday, Friday for your money.

The funds are not KE funds. Our money was provided by the FSCS. The administrators don’t need to go anywhere near it.

Yes I know that FSCS have funded the amounts owing to K-E customers, but according to the latest K-E statement:
"Kaupthing Edge in the UK is being run by Administrators and we have now received their confirmation that all outstanding payments will be released by Thursday 23 October and we would expect these to start arriving in the destination bank account on Friday 24 October."
If the Administrators are "running" K-E (see first line) then they presumably control its operational and day to day activities, as that's what "run" normally means in business/legal parlance. It thus seems that the ongoing repayment delays are attributable to the Administrators, not ING or K-E. I have no idea exactly what the Administrators are actually doing inside K-E, but it could be that are metering out tranches of FSCS money to protect the FSCS's interests. I have no real idea since no information has been made available beyond the usual load of B.S.
