They have deducted the CHAPS fee so I will join the fight for a refund of that - given the circumstances why didn't waive it at the point of transaction - all that will happen now is that they will be inundated with claims for refunds and won't be able to cope.
I am sure those still waiting will get their money soon - nobody deserves this treatment.
I don't care about lost interest / lost fees - I want no deailings with ING Direct again, as I just feel like it's a complete waste of my time. They can take it and shove it. I just hope everyone gets their money soon - my thoughts are with you guys. Hang in there.0 -
Received my moolah yesterday...... still here to support those less fortunate. Envisage the backlog cleared by end of this week hopefully.0

I understand the sentiment but personally I don't think we should let them off the hook. Why should they be allowed to keep our interest and our fees?0 -

My feelings exactly! Vote with your feet. ING can poke it where the sun does not shine - forever. Shame as the KE staff were great and v professional but with this issue, impotent. For that I am sorry - I will never use them again and I guess there is a very real chance of KE staff lossing jobs.
ING - You're a disgrace, to your customers and to KE staff!!!!0 -

I guess you're right - but I personally have made my mind up not to deal with them again. I actually got to the stage where I had written my 10k off... I know this sounds stupid as it's covered up to £35k blah blah, but that was the only way I could deal with the situation. It did actually help me having that mentality lol.0 -

I agree - if you were to add it all up it would be an enormous amount and what have they done to deserve it?2 accounts:-
1/ BACS requested 7th -left KE 8th - funds received Fri 17th
2/ CHAPS requested 7th - left KE 8th - funds received Thurs 30th Oct.
CHAPS fees returned 27.10.08

I know what you mean...I was thinking the same when the markets went into melt down...how many deposits can governments guarantee before they have to default on the compensation package.....paranoina is a wonderful thing isn't it
Thankfully, I think that crisis has passed..0 -

I have now received £31.5k which I requested on the 8th. Unfortunately I have been charged twice for CHAPS charges. Has anyone else been double charged?0
