  • My transfer for £33.5k (submitted 10:50am on 7th October) has just arrived in my Natwest current account.

Will keep monitoring the thread but looks good now for anyone still waiting, good chance of everyone being sorted by COB Friday? Thanks to all the folks who wished me happy birthday for yesterday, although I think I've aged more than one year in just the last two weeks!

As others have suggested we should wait until everyone is sorted and then perhaps ING could post on here (or Martin could ask) how we go about getting our CHAPS and interest back*. Like many others I have been incorrectly charged £40 fee. This can wait though, until everyone is sorted - as I said!

Will also be keeping my eye on the Icesave situation but much more relaxed about that now I've got a good chunk of my savings back.

(* it may be that ING will want a breather to move all the active accounts across to their systems. As long as they can state a timeframe I think people will be happy - I'm more than happy to wait a couple of months to sort out that last little bit of business!)
  • Exactly as timkevan #1438...... just checked my Barclays account and found that my money has arrived. CHAPS request on 8th, left my account on 9th. Oddly, not only did they deduct £20 from my Kaupthing account they also deducted it from the transferred money - ie it arrived £20 short. So I was charged £40 to transfer it on the day, a service they singularly failed to perform.

Posted a secure message to KE requesting they address the fee doubling bit! Not holding my breath tho.

I'm sure it will not be too much longer till we are all seeing our money again, ... thanks to the sensible sitemembers for their support over the last two weeks.
  • obviously not wanting to put a downer on this but are there many folk who have NOT yet recieved their cash having checked their account this afternoon?

    Hi all,

Two days before KE went belly up I went into my account to move some money out but when I saw the new T&Cs with the novation clause I decided to close my account and term deposit - which had to be done by phone. I spoke to Arran White at KE -I always try to get a name and he set the process in motion, saying it would be 2 days to close the term deposit and then a BACs transfer would take a few more days. Later that week I went into my account - the T&C agreement had disappeared and found it still active. I transferred a small amount just as a test.
Following week nothing had arrived so I called KE(ING) and spoke to Hazel Pollard who after a lot of insistence said my account was one of the few manual ones taking longer as it was a closure.
Today the small amount I transferred has arrived but no sign of the rest.

I notice that the T&Cs with the novation clause has reappeared and that you cant access your account unless you agree a set of T&Cs that were written in June way before the bank transferred - and it still has that worrying novation clause.

It is disgraceful that I haven't had my money and that I would need to sign up to new T&Cs to even look at and check my account - Is anyone else in this boat?

    Any advice gratefully received

    Hi cazraz

I can log in ok without T&C's I still have a substantial sum in the account however
    Non illigitamus carborundum!!
  • I got paid my £19k at long last, and can now get my new business started. Thats just a week of me having to lie idle thanks to KE/ING.

A HUGE THANKS TO THIS LIST.

And for those still waiting, my thoughts are with you. I know ii gets harder as more people get paid and you are still not paid. Everyhting is crossed for you and I will be checking in on Friday to see how its gone. I'll be there to add my name to any kind of support if there are still people stranded on Friday evening. I really appreciated the support of this list, and now "I'm All Right Jack", I won't be desserting those of you left in the dark.

Like me... still waiting.... sigh... _pale_ (checked my account 5 mins ago)
Still its encouraging to hear from people that there is still money going through...
  • At last, Money arrived in my account today which was requested 8/10 by CHAPS. Thanks to all for keeping the pressure on. Hope others find their money
  • IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE! I've been checking my account every 10 minutes, and sometime between 16.30 and 16.40 it hit my (Natwest) account. I'm so happy I could cry.

Guys, thanks for all your support over the past few weeks. I would have literally gone off my head without this forum. And I hope there aren't too many still waiting at the end of today. Lord, I'm almost delirious with relief!
CHAPS to Natwest: sent 9/10, RECEIVED 22/10 at 16.35
