    3. While I don't want to step on anyones fun. Do remember ING Direct and possibly members of the regulators are reading this thread and we need to keep the focus on for those who haven't got their money. If someone wants to set up a Kaupthing Chaps Chat thread in the MoneySavers Arms or Discussion Time - then that'd be more appropriate (sorry to be a killjoy)

Many thanks for your comments. As you can imagine people in my situation are trying to get our money or life savings from ING for the last few weeks with very poor communication from their side.

Ok, since fun has got to stop, I'll just go to sleep and dream about something pleasant. Like the money turning up!

And my money hasn't came today either. The CHAPS is taking a bit longer... Probably decided to take a 'gap' year!

    IMPORTANT NOTE:

    Hi folks,

    A couple of quick notes

    1. I only got one person in the emergency need situation and ING has agreed to look at trying to expedite their payment

    2. Can I remind EVERYONE do not post your details if you are personally identifiable in any way due to the risk of ID fraud

Excellent work Martin! I'm sure that what you have done over the past few days is well beyond your remit. Yes, this is a wonderful site you have set up for the greater good of the ordinary people. However, it is a platform for everyone to use and share ideas from many different walks of life through their different experiences and perspectives - Hats of to you sir :money:

    PS,

Better to laugh sometimes - :D

    Thanks

icon8.gifKaupthing CHAPS transfers still not working
I transferred £47000 out by CHAPS on Mon 20th Oct 10:00am and i have not recieved the money in my linked account! why have they not stopped customers making CHAPS payments? or at least posted on their website that there is still a delay with CHAPS even now. They still charge you £20. So my guess is they still have problems. They should advised customers that even now CHAPS transfers will not arrive in linked accounts as they promise.

Yes this really has been a wonderful source of up-to-date info & support, with some light-hearted moments to lift the gloom. Although I eventually got 2 BACS transfers out from K E , I am now anxiously waiting for another one, actioned yesterday, required to pay off my card-tarting activities at the end of the month. Come to think of it, I should have made my avatar a tart-but I only had a photo of my strawberry and cream sponge! Mmmmmm cream sponge.......

If I put a request in for cake today, will you promise to let me have some by Friday???? Keep smiling

  • POLITE NOTICE TO ALL K-E CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE RECEIVED THEIR PAYMENTS: Unless they have something useful to say, would they kindly refrain from cluttering this thread with their largely irrelevant comments, which are obscuring the ongoing problems suffered by those who are still awaiting payment, like me. For example, I couldn't care less about their lousy £20 CHAPS fees, when I'm still owed several tens of £'000 from the week before last. Please go and discuss that elsewhere. I ALSO FIND ATTEMPTS AT HUMOUR RATHER TEDIOUS IN THE CIRCUMSTANCES. I WOULDN'T CARE SO MUCH IF I WAS ONLY OWED A FEW HUNDRED £, OR IF I DIDN'T NEED THE MONEY FOR SEVERAL URGENT PURPOSES.
