LOL nat...I'm loving the fact you need to see everyones dress - it saves me asking too!!

    And me :D
  • Its a prom dress and its number PR0069. She had colour 02 (its a lovely soft pale gold) and we asked if we could have diamantes and crystal beads instead of sequins and they did just that at no extra cost, its wicked, just as good as the photo!

Wow - that is a gorgeous dress!!

I hate that the style at the time was for slimline dresses when I had my school prom - but I'm making up for it with my wedding dress lol :D

  • Well, i know you hear good and bad reports from Landy. Some woman was moaning that her dresses were too long! erm, wouldn't that be her fault for not doing the measurements properly!! All i can say is that i had a 100% positive experience and it worked out loads cheaper than buying it over here. If you go round the bridal shops here have a look at the labels inside the dresses, lots of them are from China!! Think that says it all doesnt it.
    Good luck with your search.

We didnt have school proms when I left school :embarasse 20 yrs ago. We had a school disco instead and we all know how terrible 80s fashion was

  • Wow that dress is gorgeous. I had a slimline one for my prom, but that would have been so much nicer. Hope she has a lovely day wearing it, Tiger x

  • well....i finally had a reply, was emailing to the wrong place all along (what a muppet)
trouble is, ivan has showed me pics of the dress they made and i think it looks very different to the original, he said it was made with taffeta instead of satin but that doesnt mean much to me, does it mean much to anyone else?

Hi, my dress is going to be made with Taffetta instead of Satin as the dress I have sent them the pic of is made of it, Vernice by Maggie Sottero. I think the texture of the fabric will be different but the light ivory I am having will be the same colour. I think the taffetta is better for my dress as I want it exactly like the original. Is your dress originally made of Taffetta? Which dress is it? Tiger x

My dress was Taffeta but the bottom bit is more a Taffeta Silk ie. softer, not as course as say an original but it was fine, hope I have not set confusion in place.
