• Congratulations sexy legs. :T:T:T

I have a couple of questions to ask,

Has anybody else been stung with custom charges for their landy dresses?
What do you think would be the best head dress for a 42 year old bride?
Tia :D
• I didn't get 'stung' by customs.

The invoice statement stated that the dress was 'lady knitted dress 70% polyester/ 30% cotton size L and unit value was $37. Reason for export: gift for personal ceremony, not for resale'.

So I'm presuming that if Customs had stopped it I would have had to pay just under $10?

My dress was labelled 'dress for gift' and I never paid customs on it.

Can't imagine the customs charge would have been much tbh. I got a £700 item from America last year and the customs charge was only £50.

Hi, my dresses said something similar to yours on the package, the customs charge was £7.00 so not that expensive, I am just a bit baffled that I have no paperwork from customs to say they have applied this charge? I have received a letter from dhl today with an invoice for this amount, is this how it is normally done?
• Ah, in that case I still may have to pay.

Mine was shipped too by DHL.

Customs charge works out at around 30% of the total value.
It seems that DHL pay the customs charge and invoice the recipient later.

Just received a dress from Landy Bridal yesterday for my daughter, its for her prom day. omg! its gorgeous, a real Cinderella dress, its made well with lovely fabric and it fits perfectly. I would definitely recommend them. If you are worried email Ivan at Landy Bridal (they are lovely and got straight back to me) service@landybridaland.com If you order put as much information on the email with the order as you can. Make sure your measurements are right though cos its not their fault if you dont measure yourself properly. Give them about 6 weeks in all and its worth paying the extra delivery for courier delivery (TNT/DHL) it arrived in 2 days!
