OK Mad Mack you don't seem to believe my story, I do have pictures of the dress my friend ended up with but, as her wedding was only last month, I obvoiusly couldn't put it on here without her permission. She dosn't have a picture of the piece of rubbish she bought over the internet as she got shut of it on ebay!!! and was glad to see the back of it.
Just trying to give some friendly advise, believe what you want girls, but be VERY aware.
So we are to believe your friend actually sold her piece of tat on eBay? It can't have been that awful then, or I pity the poor soul who ended up with it :rotfl:
If you really want to give friendly advice, then I would say come clean with your true intentions or just leave well alone. You won't win business or put anybody off Landy with posts like that!
You have also been reported.0 -

Reported for what exactly?
Are you an employee of Landy Bridal?0 -
It looks to me that no one has a right to their opinion on here, I got a dress from lundy and wasn't happy, I feel you should look at everything before you assume that it is a shop just complaining, I've ordered my dress from a shop now because I wanted the quality and the service. Don't cut people up because they don't agree with you, and it also say's on this foram that anyone can give advice, and you should give these shops a chance to answer. Rant over!!0

Isn't that amazing, so many happy people on here who have, on the whole, had great dresses arrive from Landy and then two unhappy newbies appear at once!
So, I will take both posts with a BIG pinch of salt.
Twinkletoe - you don't even seem to remember that the company is called Landy, not Lundy. If you really did have a dress arrive in such a state, please show us a photo of it and let us decide if you are believable.
Nevschick, similarly if you are genuine then a picture of your friend's dodgy dress would be really interesting to see, plus one of what your friend ended up buying.
If both of you really want to help on this thread, then that is the way to get your stories taking seriously!
Landy whatever, be only to pleased to send a photo, and no I'm not a shop just being honest and giving a view of my experience. And yes like I said you get what you pay for. and I have certainly learned a lesson buying cheap is not always good.0 -
obviously, a lot of these comments are because i posted photos of my dress and got many nice comments on it. i could take offence especially, as i think the chav comment is aimed at me, but instead i find it hilarious that these posters are just trying to cause trouble. more so as they are all new posters who have just joined. i love my dress and that is all the matters.
i bought my dress from landy as i couldn't have afforded the original from the uk and wanted it made to measure.
twinkletoe, if you did buy a dress from landy and not lundy (who may even be another bridal company altogether!) and you were diasppointed them i am sorry. however, if you paid through paypal you would have been able to claim for a refund if you were not happy. mistakes can happen and i have heard plenty of horror stories of bridal shop closing down / stealing the brides money & no dress, plus stories from others who weren't happy with the alterations done or the treatment they got from bridal stores.
nevschick - perhaps it would help if you could name the store she got it from as there are many sellers of dresses on ebay.
scraggy - if you are referring to my dress then i just wanted to say i have never seen the original in real life only online but to me it looks very sparkly and has beading and sequins all over the embroidery and all along the top and bottom of the dress. however, when i ordered from landy i obviously knew that due to copyright it would not be identical but who cares - not me. it looks stunning and no-one at my wedding will be able to tell the difference. married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -
Chardonnay - I am glad you have risen above these tasteless new posters who are proberbly all the same person, funny how so many negative new posters there are in such a small space of time post on exactly the same thread.
your dress is beautiful and the positive to using landy far out weigh the negative - proven by this thread!!0 -
I also think your dress is stunning
I tried one on like that in the bridal shop on the weekend. GORGEOUS. and if I was having a "traditional" it would be one of those in blue for sure!
have to say it was the only one I did like in the shop - not one celtic / medieval dress amongst em! Not even one with long sleeves. Ahhh well"I know that Prince Charming doesn’t come save me, we save each other and fight back to back against all comers that’s what marriage is to me. Nothing passive, no being carried off on a white steed, give me my own damn horse and lets ride into the sunset side by side." - Laurell K. Hamilton.0 -

I can't believe some of the down right nasty comments in this thread, even if you absolutely HATE someones dress what rights do you have to go out of your way to try to spoil somebody elses special day by making vile nasty comments on their "dream Dress"
chardonnay
You dress is absolutely stunning, you have VERY good tasteand i am pleased that you can rise above the nasty comments on here, cuz they really are not worth a second thought
