Hi, I'm sure someone will have already mentioned this but have had a brief look and cannot find anything...Alton Towers are offering a free day out on the 13th for anyone let down by lapland, limited to 1500 people. Look at their website, but you have to prove you had tickets.

Hope this helps some people but know it's a fair way to travel. xx
    PAD total since 27/07/09 = £60.83 - [strike]Capital One[/strike]:[strike] £192.73[/strike]£27.00 Next catalogue: [strike]£429.00[/strike] £154.00

And if you go through to the purchase stage of their website this is what you have to bring to "collect" your tickets

To get in bring "A printed copy of your Order Confirmation email.
Your Unique Booking Number (your PayPal order confirmation number).
The credit card you used to book your ticket(s).
One form of Booking Address ID - such as a utility bill - please remember this ID on the day!"

Now if someone was interested in identity theft these documents could be quite useful??

Very nearly sold out on 12th Dec I have managed to get the site to accept an order for 2598 tickets on the day then link through to paypal cost £64950. If I just keep adding 999 tickets each time i'm sure it wont stop

    Thanks icfctom,that's quite funny.

On a day that has 'very, very limited space' I am up to 9990 tickets.Going to be pretty crowded that day!

What a joke.I am getting more and more annoyed with myself for being conned by these sort of people.:o

Also noticed on there that EACH child under 3 must be accompanied by a paying adult. What a rip off ....don't take the twins then I guess.
I don't want to buck the system....I just want it to WORK!!!
  • I have just tried to logon to the Lapland New Forest website as instructed by them to get information on my refund. What a surprise - it is now not online and redirects to a 123.reg holding site. So that confirms (like it needed to be) that all Mr Mears' colourful and flamboyant promises were hollow. I understand his house is 'on the line'. Well with falling house prices it's not going to raise much!

Oh dear someone has just sent Stonehenge a tip off

Your ticket has been successfully created. An email has been sent to your address with the ticket information. If you would like to view this ticket now you can do so.

Worrying times indeed. Are the rocks of ages crumbling, or is that just a little fissure I spy? If the latter then the phrase 'hook, line and sinker' come into mind.

    ooops.... Naughty Rudolph.

I have just noticed that the naughty reindeer has also pointed out to PayPal (as the payment provider) to this thread as well as the Daily Mail article.

Reindeers eh, mind of their own......

I thought you of all people would have good control over your motive power. Has the naughty reindeer committed the advent equivalent of a slipped clutch?

I'm now very concerned what antics Donner and Blitzen might get up to.

But to cut to the quick there seems to be some text missing above, Pointed out to PayPal what? to this thread and where?
  • Is it me or has Daffy duck appeared on the homepage now replacing Minnie?

It would appear that Rudolph has fired off an email to Paypal with links to this thread, the actual website as well as this link.

    http://news.google.co.uk/news?q=Lapland+West+Midlands&sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1B3GGGL_enGB211GB211&um=1&hl=en&sa=X&oi=news_result&resnum=1&ct=title

Just in case they would like to keep some funds in the Paypal account, in case of refunds etc. Unfortunately Rudolph did not give them his proper email address and so I am awaiting any replies, if any.
