No idea what that post even means :S
Im guessing its the original webmaster trying to play off the hits that the website is getting to advertise himself0 -
I can't find the site now has it gone for good?0

you have to email them your dispute and then they call you back0 -
In the middle of last night an addition had been made to the one remaining web page which purported to have been added by the website builder and appeared to be an invitation for people to use his services for other work.
Quite bizarre, but may possibly suggest that the website is not entirely under the control of Lapland New Forest Ltd and indicate why it keeps disappearing and reappearing.
It's still there

Work Wanted: Errrr ... don't snarl ... smile ... the designer of this highly successful marketing campaign is looking for the next project ... maybe something less headline.
Does anyone require an effective marketing campaign: websites / artwork / seo etc with guru conversion %?
PLEASE don't contact me about your refunds or complaints ... it has nothing to do with me and is not my decision ... I'm just working my butt off day & night through the craziness and so sad misery to provide every one of you with accurate information and a clear communication means for the sheer love and honour of it.
If you wish to communicate - only nice genuine relevant emails get past my junk filter Thank you.
BE Happy.

Gomer, thanks for this. I have not seen this incarnation of the web site - is it possible that you have found a 'cached' copy? If so would you please screen grab or copy it for future evidence? It may also be possible that you were lucky enough to see the site during the registration transition from 1and1 internet and 123.reg.
The quoted text is indeed bizarre, as is the hasty change of registrars, it smells of people covering their backsides or another scam up and coming.
Also as you say it may well be completely outside the control of those involved in the original scam. In fact my current opinion is that they probably had no real contact with those involved in the web site (I just cannot imaging the mears writing PERL code) and those involved are either scared, threatened, running away, or were marginally involved in the scam and are trying to dig themselves out of the excrement. It is noteworthy that the original site designer has withdrawn the web design part of his site and the registrations of various involved parties are up and down like a - well you know what.

I don't know how much this will help people, but I took the liberty of making a copy of the original site as it stood before the most recent changes. I can arrange for it to be hosted to allow people to make comparisons, but the first thing that leasps out at me is that this version removes any reference to the area being 'snow-covered', and changes the 'log' cabins to 'wood' ones.
If I didn't know better, I'd swear that someone's trying to cover up the initial promises made to remove any threat of false advertising allegations.0 -
Claim now - claim hard - claim quick
There is a difference between what a bank is legally obliged to do and what a bank will do if you lean on it, and there has never been a better time than this to lean on your bank. Even if you feel that you may just fall outside some claims limit, if it costs you nothing, I'd lean on your bank/card company mentioning this sorry saga and the furore surrounding it.
No financial institution wants to be involved in this type of 'scandal' at this time and, for once, may be more amenable to acting on the side of the 'little guy' (or gal). I can't promise any positive result, but the power of many people taking the same action all at once produces results.
The powers that be, will cry into their Pyms if this smells of misdoings within the system, but you have to push to get what you are morally entitled to.
@Edna - I have various versions saved. including this latest one. Earlier in this thread someone mentioned where previous versions could be located and I know people who can track down anything, so when I get home tonight I'll record it all and then place it where anyone can refer to it - but don't rush me.0 -

The last version I saw of the lapland new forest website last night
as well as having the notice about the park closing
had, at the very bottom of the site, a note saying that at the request of trading standards the site now said "wood cabins" "market stalls"
and that snow covered had been removed.... there was another change as well but I can't remember what it said now.
Given that the majority if not all tickets were prebooked, changing the website after people have booked doesn't negate the initial misleading advertising but at least stops any further damage incase anyone had failed to see the news coverage!0 -
The Lapland West midlands event is not looking promising...Does this look like Lapland?
This is the muddy field where a controversial Christmas festival is due to start tomorrow.
Organisers insist it will go ahead despite council threats of legal action which has left one senior councillor asking today: “Does this look like Lapland to you?”
Customers who have paid £25 in advance via a website will be shocked to see a dozen marquees, some Christmas trees and a handful of portable toilets on the Essington site near Wolverhampton, just 24 hours before the event gets under way.

There is no apparent connection between the two set ups, but I sense a certain deja vu.0

The local council has advised people not to attend:
