Hester- you can't post something like that and then not give us all the details! Please! ;-)

Meant to say welcome to all the new people, so hello and welcome! Glitterycloud, meal planning is great, means that you know what you're eating and can make sure you have all the stuff in and prepared in time, it's one of the few os things that the entire family love! But then we're all piggies here!

  • Hester -

Snowy Owl - So sorry Dylan is poorly, I hope he feels better soon.

Random posting - little bear was sick a few times last night so it's extra washing machine also dear heart has found he has to do a presentation in another city on Monday and he hasn't got a shirt that is fit to wear. Actually his suit isn't fit either. He may have a tie that is fit to be seen, but I rather doubt it. And don't get me started on shoes!

And dear heart is getting to look at a house which I really wanted to, because I can't take little bear, because he is poorly.

So this weekend is clearing out weekend, except for when I am cuddling little bear. I may start keeping a tally in my signature, except I am so tired I am going to play computer games till dear heart gets back.

    Hugs to all

All suggestions about cleaning up baby vomit gratefully received! (that was my OS bit :p)

  • Just want to say that I have had a blessing. One of dear heart's oldest friend, and godfather to little bear is having a fancy dress party to celebrate his birthday. Now, one of the few things I have in common with Terry Pratchett's Lady Sybil is that I have a fuller figure. A very fuller figure. Naturally for fancy dress I looked on ebay for inspiration. And what was considered appropriate costume for someone with a fuller figure defied belief. All I can say is that if I had worn some of those costumes, in my size, then they would have called out a police marksman for humane disposal!

But... the do, which would be child friendly, starts at 7.30pm, which would be too late for little bear, so while I will not be searching out an adorable Bugsy Malone costume for him, at least I am spared.

    OS stuff. Hmm.

I am very tired as is little bear and dear heart. Dear heart started looking after him last night but quite understandably twenty two month old little bear wanted mum. Evil cat is evil - she has just reminded me by hooking in her claws to my arm. And I have a multiplicity of tasks which I should be attempting. It is a cheap ebay listing day today and tomorrow. I think list tomorrow, throw out things with gay abandon today. I shall make a virtuous pile for the charity shop, however it is hard for me to get to a charity shop with my crisis of mobility and dear heart's hectic schedule. Fingers crossed it will get there. But years ago I worked in a charity shop and what they could sell was extremely limited.

I'm putting off the moment of action and little bear is stirring so I shall go and see if his poor little tummy will accept a banana.

Well I've had a think and it does seem a bit odd here at the mo, I'm not sure whether things have changed for those who read the thread or for those who actually contribute iyswim?

    Hello :hello:

Well, I'm a long time lurker on here...... I did post on the 'other' thread about the OS daily the other day about how much I love reading it, but in answer to your question mummysaver, IMO as a reader of the thread, its changed and I miss the old type of chat that use to go on. Please dont anyone leave, I'm sure the lurkers (like me) who read the thread will miss you all greatly.

WM has been on overnight, DS2 was sick during the night, he is a really sickly child..... so had to make an emergency trip to the 24hour Asda for new quilts, pillows and bedding. So I now have his old bedding blowing on the line. The old quilt and pillows are in the bin. There is no way I would embarass myself by taking them to a laundrette:p

Nothing else much OS will go on today, well apart from ironing. DS1 returned from a week long school trip to North Wales so I spent most of yesterday evening washing his muddy clothes and getting them dried. I should get most of the ironing done as DS2 lies flaked out on the sofa.

Dunno what lunch will be, could be sarnies, tea should be hot dogs and wedges........ nice and easy meal with sick kiddies.;)

((((((hugs to everyone who would like one)))))))) and yes, I am now going to thank everyone....... :D:D
I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like you :p

:p would like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing :o
  • Nelski, thanks for the tip on the cheap chicken breasts at Coscto:T . I only buy my meat from costco cos it tastes so much nicer than MrT or MrA etc, so will make a trip over to either Ellesmere Port or Liverpool to pick some chicken up...sounds to good a deal to leave it at that price.

Well I am with tired_mum, moiliere, smokybabe, redruby, pen-pin choc-organge and others who do not feel quite at home now.

Me too, I haven't posted for a good few days & it feels very "clinical" now.

    Happy Birthday Dorry :)
(((hugs))) to all those needing them.
Cauliflower cheese soup sounds scrummy - which book is it in, or is it simply make Cauli cheese & blend?

WM just finished. Hoovered all downstairs & tidied kitchen. Must make some lunch. HM toad-in-the-hole & mash for dinner.

    Hello all,

Unfortunately I am in the same boat as donny, PenPin, Squggly et al, and no longer feel I have anything really to contribute. I will still try reading,as I do love hearing about all your OS activites...I just don't DO that much actually OSing myself it seems :o

However, that said...can anyone help me with D & DDs apple braid? The braiding part? I don't understand how to do it...some sort of diagram would probably help :)

MSD - I always grate the whole block of cheese in one go, saves me having to wash the grater repeatedly!
Snowy - Hugs to you. Hope you find another job asap
Choc.Orange - Hmmm.....that reddish stuff might be soap scum???? Should just scrub off....I have no idea really.
