Thanks for the offer, it is much appreciated.
I do actually have some sitting here that I am willing to pop in the post, if you want it then PM me your address and I will pop it in the postbox tomorrow
Don't forget to remind yourself that it is OK to grieve and cry and feel crappy, it sounds like you ave had huge change in your life and that will always take its toll (and leave your hair alone)
Right back to the fluffy xmas chat to make you forget the rubbish....
Err well as I am the most un-festive person in the world....
Actually, going back to the presents for the people you have left to buy for, could you make cakes or something, oh and it isn't too late for flavoured vodka I think;) .......£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Pink - maybe you are right maybe you have started a grieving or whatever you want to call it process and maybe this is the start of the new you.
I felt something like this in my early 20's, felt like everyone was growing up and moving on ahead of me, and that I was lagging and I definitely overspent trying to feel more "adult" and grown up and responsible..... thinking having a credit card meant I had become 'someone'...... and spending money on clothes and other carp to become the person I wanted to be on the outside, not realising that inside I was still quite young and naive about the world:o especially when people started moving in with partners, getting married, going on holidays by themselves etc
Now my mind has kinda caught up with me, but now I just cant afford any of those things, coz I'm paying for what I did previously, much of which I've got nothing left to show for it...:oWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hi PinkT,
Sorry your feeling a bit rubbish. We all have days like that and no doubt I will be bending everyone's ear when I have a rubbish day too. That's what everyone is here for. You just have to think to the future and how you have taken the debt in hand. You will get there and we will be every step of the way with you.

I'm up for fluffy xmas chat!
Pinky - why dont you tell us who you've got left to buy presents for, ages, sex, interests etc and we'll help come up with an idea for a present for them within your budget, ready for when you get paid, and thats one less stress to have to contend with.
As for your credit cards etc, have you any way you can transfer balances between them so you have fewer seperate payments to make?Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

I can totally relate to CAFC post 874 (have to put number as thread moving so fast, I don't want everyone to think I am on about carbonated drinks)
I think that was part of my spending, I had lots of friends that are a few years older than me (I still have several of them but now I also have some that are loads older than me too), but when you are in early 20s that does make a bit of a difference (different spending power for a start)
Oddly, those friends are the ones that are the happiest about my reformed ways and the fact I am getting out of debt, I think they could see what I was doing to myself. I wasn't so much as keeping up with the people that were my friends but I was probably keeping up with some weird ideal of what an 'adult' did and how someone my age should behave.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Anyone got any idea of presents for a female, 40, lives in US, is single, likes the colour purple.
Things I've bought in the past - make up brushes, perfume atomiser, make up bag, watch, bracelet, necklace, purple scarf, chocolates.
I've run out of ideas of what I can get, it has to be light as it needs to be posted, I've not been in contact with her for ages so not sure if she has a bf now, she's had a run of bad luck in the men department, her dad died about 2 years ago and she still lives with her mum.
So anything purple that doesn't involve cooking or making things would be great. ThanksSealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
