    Hi Shelley,

I've got my DH's presents but I told the families we werent doing presents this year, we just cant afford it.
Got a token present for my mum and dad though as we are going to their house xmas day, and then im going to cook dinner for us all as my xmas present to them, first time in 25 years plus theyve not had to cook, plus my mum is working till 8pm xmas day, so that be nice for her...

  • I am getting one for my parents and for my nice and nephew but that it the lot. I have got vetos in place with pretty much all my friends. Not sure if I will have to get something for OH's parents or not - xmas is challenging this year.

ETA: OH and I don't get presents for each other either, I stopped that before it started too

Bah humbug (Christmas is not my friend)

ETA: oooh, look who pressed the wrong button and didn't realise :rotfl:

  • I cashed in £38 today, paid it into the bank hoping I would be able to make the minimum payment to Barclaycard (£165) but I only have £163, should have some Paypal money going in tomorrow just waiting for it to show up in my bank account and then can make the payment. I'm really struggling each month to find the minimum payment for this one as it's a lot in one go, the others are OK as the other biggest minimum payment is £70 which I can manage, it's OK as the 5 cards are spread out over the month. I've not been overdrawn on my bank account in 22 years so don't want to start now, my Child Benefit went in as well today but I had to pay for Ebay parcels and had some debit card payments come out as I buy what I need daily as I don't want to use my CC to do Tesco orders.

I hate having no money, wish I could go out and get a part-time/evening job but bf job doesn't allow for it so have to concentrate on Ebay as my only income, it's been OK the last week or two have sold quite a bit but not sure what will happen after Xmas when no one will have any money.

I used to do 2 jobs before and just after I met bf and I really enjoyed it, did 3 evenings doing Data Entry with lots of other people my age so was great fun, but that was another life before kids and when I had my own house, lived on my own and lived on £50 a week (£20 food, £20 petrol and £10 for whatever).

Oh well, enough self-pity, off to list some more Ebay stuff.

I'm only getting my M&D - all rest of family and friends in agreement the money best spent elsewhere

Its everything else that mounts up - my parents are coming to stay for 5 days over Christmas so got to sort out food / meals out / tree n decorations etc etc.It just seems a lot of effort for a long weekend!

I need some nice moneysaving chat.:j I've been rock bottom the past couple of days. I got so bad I ended up stationary on the slip road to the motorway literally tearing my hair out almost.

My aunt has ordered me a fluffy bath robe thing (pink with white dots):o, I will get everyone something little. I've only got 3 people to buy for now, so will probably spend about £15 - £20 each, but even that is a lot.

Need a few of these :rotfl: :o :rotfl: :o :rotfl: :o
