  • Right - debt has been reduced by £504.50 so far this month and I have £900 burning a hole in my bank account (more to be paid a bit later in the month)

I have to wait until tomorrow to be sure that I am getting paid this month and then I will be mostly taking down my big loan by £600 (as soon as I find out from Lloyds how I make overpayments) and then topping up my ISA with the rest ready for my credit card in September

Well done to everyone that has reached the £2k mark, I will be there in a bit so keep it warm for me.

    Crikey!

Well done on EBay everyone, nice to see there are still people out there buying from the smaller sellers as opposed to too many of the business that are everywhere. Dont get my wrong I think business should sell via ebay but in some categories its pushed out the individual sellers, and the fees are far too expensive these days!

Rant over, and I think I might be tempted to do some tomorrow. Got a couple of dresses which could go on.....

Does anyone know one A&L online banking statements what
"Payment Review Fee - Paid" translates as? its for £25 and I dont know what the hell its for?
Account wasn't overdrawn, although it is now because of that....

    oh for gods sake!
They make me so mad, all the payments cleared and my account was balanced at plus £10 and then this got added on and now im minus £15..... but my account didnt go overdrawn as the monies in, cleared before the payments so my cleared balance was never minus!

ive been getting charges on this account just lately because DH loans and car seem to just take money whenever they feel like it 25th one month, 1st, then 3rd, when they are all set up as 1st, and its having such a knock on for the next month.
Going to go through all of these tomorrow and get those dates all covered!

I would ring and query it hun if you weren't overdrawn.

There isn't any payments in limbo, sometimes my account has two figures and wondered if something going out tomorrow say was going to knock you overdrawn.

Oh well.... wont let it spoil my day xx

    I soooo agree!

Sounds like everyone has been having a pretty sucessful time. I've had an absolutely manic few days and was away over weekend. Just waiting to get last months wages cleared in the bank before working how many pennies I have saved this month :j

Been keeping my spending diary & its genuinely terrifying what I waste money on. I've been trying to be more focused & have to say shame of writing down daft things like bottle of water at gym rather than making the effort to take empty one is helping!

Still got a bit of Christmas shopping to sort & the foodie bits. Can't believe we're in December & how wintry it feels. How's everyone else fairing on festive preparations?

What a lovely euphamism for 'dubious bank charge' - bar stewards
