witwhew! :j Congrats! Shows how much progress we've all made that we see it as normal to pay off with the bonus like that. Well done on the self-discipline...:A

If I get a bonus next year - and keep my job or get similar local - then that would speed up my progress too! I daren't rely on it in the current climate...

  • It's great. everyone is so motivated and doing so well. The good thing about it is although it is the Paper Hat challenge I don't feel that people are being over competitive. Everyone is genuinely happy if you make your own personal targets. It's great.

  • Hi everyone,

I am looking for a bit of advice. I put a pair of boots on Ebay for a starting bid of £20. I wore them twice but they were a bit too big for me but got them for less than the price above (about 2 years ago). I just got an email asking if I had a 'buy it now' price (which I don't). I'm wondering if I should put a buy it now price up. I was thinking of £39.99. Is that too greedy or does that sound right?

Honest opinions would be great. These boots are popular and do sell but not sure what they actually go for.

  • I've sold a few things on Ebay today (mainly personal items) I've just withdrawn £60 from Paypal, still awaiting about 12 payments from other things that have finished over the last few days.

Opened one of my sealed tins (the 5p, 10p, 20p and £2 coins one), had £42, can only change £30 as I didn't have enough to make up £5 for some of the 10p and 5p ones so I've added them to my sealed coppers tin to open when it's full.

Well done everyone especially those who have reached £2k, I shall be over £500 when I've paid my £165 Barclaycard minimum payment later this week when I get enough money in my account (shame Paypal take 4/5 days).

    Hi CMD

Have you tried doing a search on Ebay for the same boots and looking at the items that have finished and seeing what they went for. Also what did they cost new.

Good luck, hope you sell them

  • I didn't know you could look at finished items. How do you do that?

They cost about £105 new now and are in excellent condition.

  • Type in the name of the boots at the top of the Ebay page, when it brings up the list of all the boots, look down the left hand side of the page and you should see 'Completed Items' click on that and it will bring up all the items that have finished recently so you can look down the list and see if there are some the same. If they sold it will be show in green, if still black then no one bid on them.
