    Ooops! Thanks :D

I've gone into problem-solving mode (my weakness). I'm sure it managed to !!!! of my ex somethng awful.

    :o

If he did then he is crazy, my OH loves it when I come over all problem solving and motivated, it means all he has to do is sit back, do nothing and watch his problems get resolved in front of his eyes (or at worst drive me somewhere)

Nothing to be embarrassed about, very useful skill, don't hide it away.

  • Pinky - your dad is it just horses he likes or Horse Racing? I used to buy my Great Uncle a Horse Racing Diary. My Great Uncle also used to like getting the latest Guiness Book of Records I think they do a new one every year. I also used to buy him Maceson Stout every year and would always wrap it up in different ways so he had lots to open and would laugh when he opened them.

Your aunt - how about Yankee candles.

Your 72 year old aunt - does she have line dancing CD's or DVD's. Get the booze if she likes it. My Great Uncle used to get lots of drink at Xmas and it lasted him a long time.

If in doubt buy booze or chocolates.

I'm buying my Nan some Cigarettes, chocolates and have bought some scented pomanders for Xmas. My Nan is 93 and doesn't need much (most of the last few years presents are still in her drawer according to my Aunt) so I buy her cigarettes to save her a bit of money and no point giving up at 93.

Yes, you would think. Except I had to rid ex's house of his ex's things (from years ago) and his joint ownership of his house with his ex (that he hadn't seen for 5 years). In the end he remortaged and cleared his debt, but held all the grief against me.

Apparently that's what changed his opinion of me, but he kept going on about possibly losing his house (where I was living too). I couldn't sleep for worry!
  • Right ladies (I think you are all ladies that are posting at the moment, apologies to any men) it has been a pleasure but I must go to bed (am shattered)

Take care and good luck to people still to buy presents.

Not sure where my nearest Asda is, never seen one round here although have seen a delivery van so must be one somewhere.

I'll have to look out for purple gloves when we go xmas shopping at the weekend.

    Thanks

    Thank for the ideas :D

My dad definitely likes the Gee-Gee's betting slip type rather than the patting. Might get him a racing book thingy and a bottle of Glenmorangie then!

My Aunt - Yankee candles would be good!

Aunty No. 2 - Line dancing Video/CD and bottle of wine!!!

    All sorted!!! :D:D:D :T
