I just went onto the flylady.net website to try and motivate myself to make a start on my hideously dirty flat, I clicked on 'babysteps' and the first thing that came up was 'shine your sink'

My initial thought was 'that would be nice, but then I will have to clear the clean washing up off the drainer to do that properly and I can't put it away until I have tidied my cupboards as they are so messy' swiflty followed by 'I don't think I can face it'

I am not sure I am cut out for the whole clean house thing  I used to be good but somewhere I have become a slattern :D

This made me laugh so much - I had to empty loads of crap out of sink this morning to rinse bowl and spoon to eat brekkie. I so need to get onboard with some kind of cleaning / hygeine mission :rotfl:

Or we could start slatterns with stunning handbags club?!

Doodles you can't tell me off cause you bought a house :p
I had just had the day from hell..... Out of the blue I got rung up today and was finished up by my manager saying I didn't fit with their organisation as I am too direct and task focused

1228_sad_person_crying.gifJust feel like they didn't give me a chance.... They are going to give me a month's money tho - so great amount of money for the time I've worked for them. Just need to find a way of keeping my pride and self esteem intact now. But feeling completely blue

    1221_blue.gif

I am absolutely and utterly stunned!

OMG SH you poor darling - how can being direct and task focused be bad?? Those are wonderful positives in any job.

I suspect someone just thought you were too good aka threatening and got scared you might outshine them whilst in a temporary role.

Don't let them get you down you are brilliant :grouphug:

SH - what rubbish. like everyone else has said those should be qualities they are looking for not complaining about. i know you feel down about it but you are obviously much too good for them and they felt threatened.

remember everything happens for a reason. i know we can't always see the reason at the time but it is there.

sending positive thoughts to all that have had a bad day.

For all you Ebayers, apparently from Saturday there are 10 free listing days (from 22nd until 31st). So if you have any stuff to get listed wait until those days as it is free for any starting price for Private Sellers (not Business or Power Sellers). Look at Ebay to see what is included and what is not.

I have so much stuff here I'm going to try and see how much I can get onto Turbolister.

Oh SH, I'm so sorry to hear that and echo everyone else's thoughts here.
You were obviously too good for them and the right job is out there waiting for you! ((((hugs))))

ONly 2/5 listings sold tonight. :( Was going to list some more, but will now wait till Sunday as just seen TMD's post. Thanks for that, have some that I'd like to start quite high, hopefully they're in right categories.

Will put some more on works intranet tomorrow, though the peeps who actually putting them on are bit slow and it might take a week for them to show up online. Just wanted to bypass ebay fees and paypal on them, but not sure if anyones intereste in work (19000) ppl working for council though...NOt sure what to do now...

Thanks again... just spent a few hours in my private pity party at a friend's house... They've said the same as you. One does a similar role to me and when I described some of what I'd said and done they agreed they would have done the same.....

At least I am getting 4 week's money plus the week I have already worked. So that is heaps better than job seekers!

As they say - every cloud has a silver lining. That is more money into your savings or off your debts, and it also bides you some time for when you are looking for another role

thanks again everyone - just reread all your posts again... Unfortunately it is not a company you would know to boycott - like the idea though!

Still in shock but think like starnac said somethings are meant to be - and we don't understand why at the time, but hopefully one day we will.

When I took this job I thought gosh my holidays couldn't be at a worse time as I don't get paid when I don't work. Now this has happened, I am so grateful that I am off to Cornwall this weekend for the week! Best of all the holiday is free anyway due to MSE survey efforts last year... I won it...

Need to try and just focus on the holiday for now and think about the rest of it when I get back. Not sure if we will have wifi access while away so if you don't hear from me from Saturday to Saturday don't be too worried...!
