  • I just went onto the flylady.net website to try and motivate myself to make a start on my hideously dirty flat, I clicked on 'babysteps' and the first thing that came up was 'shine your sink'

My initial thought was 'that would be nice, but then I will have to clear the clean washing up off the drainer to do that properly and I can't put it away until I have tidied my cupboards as they are so messy' swiflty followed by 'I don't think I can face it'

Mine was 'I'll have to pick out the used tea bags and dirty dishes first' :o

    Hiya all!

Ebay payment landed in paypal yesterday. :) That means £150 extra to my student loan payment later this month!
Sold my canvases. Have had 3 sales on amazon, one each day since Monday. More things finishing on ebay tonight with bids, only 99p though and put a few more things on works intranet. :) Gosh I feel so good with all this money coming in! It's really motivating as well, so I shall keep on listing things until they're all gone.

    And I've posted over 1000 times! :D

I had just had the day from hell..... Out of the blue I got rung up today and was finished up by my manager saying I didn't fit with their organisation as I am too direct and task focused

1228_sad_person_crying.gifJust feel like they didn't give me a chance.... They are going to give me a month's money tho - so great amount of money for the time I've worked for them. Just need to find a way of keeping my pride and self esteem intact now. But feeling completely blue

I am absolutely and utterly stunned!

OMG SA that sucks you have barely been there long enough for them to make any judgement at all. Do you think its a case of someone somewhere has took a dislike to you rather than actually anything to do with your work??

They will have to be careful as smacks of an unfair dismissal case, although least they are doing the right thing and paying you for a full month.

I think someone just didn't like me but really hard to dust myself off from! I'm sat here going to myself "I am not a failure, not a failure, not a failure" and "It's not my fault, not my fault, not my fault"..... It's not helping but then I was told on an nlp course once that your brain doesn't recognise the word not... which is why they tell you to set positive goals rather than negative ones ie "I will get that job" rather than "I won't fail the interview"

    Still sat here crying though

SH it's not your fault and I really think they have been very unfair, the only consolation is that it shows what kind of a company/management team they are to make that kind of a decision after such a short space of time.

Obviously that doesn't help you I know and I know how happy you were at getting that job. Sending you a massive ((((((((((((((hug)))))))))))).

HI SH - so sorry to hear that, it is their loss not yours, I am glad they are giving you a months pay and I'm sure that the perfect job is just around the corner. Please don't let it knock your confidence, sending lots of hugs, you deserve so much better, what cowards to do it in a phone call.

Hope you can have a good chat with your friend tonight, it always helps to talk.

    Hi SavingH,

I am so sorry to hear that. It defo sounds like a personality clash or something. They sound like a dreadful company anyway. Can you leave today? I hope they are not expecting you to go back in after they have treated you like that.
