So, Lady Doodles of Two Houses, will you be back here with full gusto now you have your nice shiny new house£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Yeah definately I need to get back on track for sure, whether it be saving or debt busting.
It's easy to get carried away when you know you have a large lump of cash coming your way and I really really want to start building a nest egg.
It may sound sad but I want to get a few grand behind me so I can at long last stand on my own two feet and not have to go to my parents to be bailed out when something happens.
Lots I want to do to the house too, but I am in no rush so will take it easy and do things as and when I have the cash.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

I just went onto the flylady.net website to try and motivate myself to make a start on my hideously dirty flat, I clicked on 'babysteps' and the first thing that came up was 'shine your sink'
My initial thought was 'that would be nice, but then I will have to clear the clean washing up off the drainer to do that properly and I can't put it away until I have tidied my cupboards as they are so messy' swiflty followed by 'I don't think I can face it'
I am not sure I am cut out for the whole clean house thing  I used to be good but somewhere I have become a slattern£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

My suitcase has been there for 10 days, behind my front door (there is no room anywhere else) getting in my way if I come in carrying anything. Dirty clothes are still in there.
I am half tempted to take a photo and post my hovel up to shame me into action , there would be utter shame though as there are bras hanging all over the place from when I hung them up to dry - lol (they are dry now, it is just acting as an extension of my bedroom)
Lazy, lazy, lazy
ETA: oh god, I just took a photo and it makes my flat look like something out of life of grime, I will have to clean it a bit just to do a 'before' photo£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

I am brutal at keeping tidy as well. At the moment I am feeling so ill all the time that poor OH is left doing everything. I feel so sorry for him.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
