Evening all,
The euro is nearly 1 for 1 with the pound - I remember when I used to calculate it as half the cost
My turn to be a bit sad tonight. Exactly a year to the day I had to have my beautiful Springer put to sleep. Can't believe how quickly the year has gone. Still miss him all the time _pale_
Hi Shelley
Am so sorry you are feeling so sad today, the first year is the hardest, we had our dog, Rocky, put to sleep in Sept 06, I still miss him so much too, we have his ashes on our Fireplace with his picture on top, plus I have him as my screen saver on my computer and his pictures are in our office, I have his collar and lead still. I only knew Rocky for 5 years (my bf had him since he was a puppy), he was 16 when he died, but he was my best friend, we spent lots of time together before we had the kids and he would sleep on the bed with me and get very jealous if my bf came near me.
Our faithful friends are gone but never forgotten, I know I'll see Rocky again one day when my time comes to go, I know he is around looking out for us, he has helped me out twice since he's been gone when I've asked for his help (might sound weird to some people but when I asked for his help it came).
I sympathise with how you feel and I'm sure your dog had the best life and knows he was loved very much.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
I found my US Dollars left over from my last jaunt to Hawaii, so I asked in the Post Office today if I could change them there and how much I would get and he said £9 something, so will take them in tomorrow and change them and pay it off a debt. I only have $16, thought I had $15 dollars but found another one in my box.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160

Awww thanks - its lovely that theres lots of doggy people. He was like my child which I know sounds daft to many but I had him from 10 weeks old. Spend every day with him than a couple of hols. Even changed my life around when he developed separation anxiety (I did say he was a mad springer)
I still have his ashes I'm going to sprinkle them on his favourite beach but can't bring myself to do it yet. Got a lovely picture of the two of us next to my telly. Plus as screen saver etc.
Maybe we should have a night in honour of all our lovely pets :smileyheaLooking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

That is nice to scatter his ashes, we were going to do that at Climping but once he'd gone we felt it was nice to keep them here with us, my bf wants to have his ashes buried with him when his time comes.
Rocky was like my first child too and I miss his funny little ways.
My eldest daughter was 2 yrs 3 months when we took Rocky to the vet, Lexie was just over a year, one day 6 months ago I took Stephanie to the post office with me and we parked in the library car park and walked past the vet (they had come with us when we took Rocky the vet) and she said to me 'that's where Rocky is' I was amazed that she remembered.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
i think its truly beatiful that a lot of people have been touched by an unspoken element.... like doggies....
maybe we should have a pet appreciation night with something fizzy in glasses....., what kinda of munchies would doggies appreciate? Top marks to shelley for suggesting it!!!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
