OOOOOh I opened that as well to get money on money back madness.
Doesnt look like its tracked yet though.
Did you have to put money in it to ensure you got the cashback.
Im just going to put £10 a month into mine as an emergency fund for the puppy....

It would make more sense money wise to throw everything you can at what is costing you interest, maybe you can do it half and half. Whatever you were going to pay in, say £20, pay £10 to the debt and then £10 to the savings?

I have a similar thing coming up soon. My Virgin card is 0% till 2nd September. From January onwards I can pay £160 towards it, but need to pay extra £27.50 to clear it off before 0% expires. The minimum payment is £25 a month,so do I pay the minimum and put rest in a savings account to accure what little interest it would. When the rates were up, I think I calculated it would only net me £15 of interest in 8 months :( or do I just pay £160 and whatever extra I can each month? I know I wouldn't spend the money if I saved it, but it would be lovely to see the balance drop by £160 each month…See my problem?

  • Wish I could find a longer 0% deal, hopefully next year A&L will come up with a long one, they are really good for balance transfer deals.

Paid £62 off Lloyds Duo card, was hoping statement would come today (was issued on 12th) but it didn't so I've made the payment anyway (checked on internet banking to see how much I owed). A&L statement is due soon too, I can check that online too so might pay that one soon too as I have some money in my account, then just got to save for my big Barclaycard one and see how much the minimum payment is on bf Barclaycard one (the one he transferred for me).

I'm going to look at the pigs again later and will decide then whether to get one, I know it's £4.99 but will save me in the long run.

Roll on January when I can start all these challenges, worked out I have to pay £1,500 a month for the next 12 months to pay off all my debt so need to do some serious Ebaying.

    Hi

They are not on a website, got it from the Discount shop at the end of my road. I couldn't decide between pink or purple, I chose purple in the end, I felt so guilty leaving the pink one behind as I was originally going to get pink.

I'd say it was the size of the gold one on Martin's It Pays to Watch programme, it's purple with some red flowers on it.

  • Hi all,

Hope everyone is well. Am feeling a bit better now, was a bit freaked out about the € currency exchange earlier on as I am heading home to Ireland for Xmas. I am away for New Year but I managed to change my hotel from a B&B to a hotel and have halved the price. I booked it earlier in the year but with the currency rate the price had gone up to a ridiculous rate for the hotel.

I feel I can breathe a bit easier now. Phew.............

    Evening all,

The euro is nearly 1 for 1 with the pound - I remember when I used to calculate it as half the cost

My turn to be a bit sad tonight. Exactly a year to the day I had to have my beautiful Springer put to sleep. Can't believe how quickly the year has gone. Still miss him all the time _pale_
